my computer will run it. but it says that i have to have a vista cd to repair vista. my hp did not come with one. all i have is a restore partition on my drive and i did make a backup recovery disc a long time ago. how am i supposed to repair my vista without a vista cd?

Download an OEM Vista install disc from any Bittorrent site and burn it. ;-]

Prepare for lots of issues with OS X on your whitebox. Does your CPU support SSE3?

You're installing it on an AMD? (Guessing based off the fact that you linked to the AMD page)


Expect trouble. OS X doesn't have built in drivers for AMD's chipsets and there's differences...who knows, it might run great, but it's just as likely that there will be tons of problems.

It won't run too well, the x86 OSX wiki site has information on compatibility (if you want a link, ask). But on an AMD system you will run into big issues even with patches and things.

The AMD install is much more streamlined than it was before. Just be sure to grab a good image; I recommend trying the tubgirl AMD image.
