As far as the Super Bowl goes, I don't see the Giants winning it. Now that LM has stepped it up the last few games for New England, they can beat you with the run, the long pass, or they can just nickel and dime you to death. I know people hate dominant teams, but I think the Patriots are the first dynasty since the Chicago Bulls that I haven't hated. The Yankees? Sorry George, money doesn't buy team chemistry, and team chemistry wins World Series. Tom Brady took a pay cut so that the team would stay under cap. They're good. And they aren't super cocky like the fucking Chargers. Okay guys, they "superior" team doesn't always win.......Its whoever played better that day. The Patriots were definitely the superior team, they just got outplayed. Giants defense dominated(5 sacks and over a half dozen knock downs is dominating), and it gave Eli the chance to win it. What I am surprised to not see is anybody talking about how two brothers won the Superbowl back to back. Anywho, I think the days of the Patriots dynasty has seen its culmination, and a new dynasty will begin the march to glory. Which team will take the crown is anyones guess, but I think it will be an NFC team.

How about season records, for one. How about total wins vs losses for the past few years. They played all the same teams as the giants, and beat them more often.

best - to win the superbowl
best - to have beaten the most teams
best - most playoff appearances in the last decade
best - most playoff wins in the last decade
best - most complete all around team

The Giants won the Superbowl(and deserved it), but that does not make them the most superior team of the year. Just the champions. Don't get me wrong, I am not dissing the Giants(I like them and rooted for them), but I must contest that they are not the "best" team. They just happened to play better when it counted. What you don't seem to understand here is, I'm not giving any excuses to the pats. I hate them, and I'm extremely glad the Giants beat them. The Giants outplayed them totally and completely, and there is no excuse for the Patriots at all.

All I'm saying is, this doesn't automatically make the Giants a better overall team. They're definitely my favorite over the Pates, but as for which team GENERALLY performs better.... well that would have to be the Pates, as much as I hate to say it.
