Why? Because dinosaurs are KOOL. And dinos killing people is kool. So another movie would be just as kool. Nuff said....

Yes, yes it should.
but it NEEDS a mature rating for once. MA15+ (most likely it will get a PG) :-(

Why bring this up now? Did you just run across it? There has been no new news on this project in quite a while. And it seems to have hit a complete stall yet again, considering the writers strike. Without a script, there isnt much the production team can do but twiddle their fingers.
It would probably make money regardless, but why bring this up now? Nothing new here.

Oh hell yea, ROAR!
I'd be happy to write a script for this movie. The basic outline will go like this:
-dinosaurs
-dinosaurs with jet packs, laser guns, machine guns, and rocket launchers
-dinosaurs attacking humans in overpopulated cities
-lesbian sex scene
-ninjas with guitars
-a cliffhanger ending, where all of the dinosaurs seem to be defeated...except they now are zombie dinosaurs...with all kinds of fucking weapons.
Hot damn, I smell a trilogy with this. CHA-CHING!
(Yes, a trilogy starting at the fourth movie).

don't worry about the franchise getting raped by a mere movie.

There is one bright spot.
John Sayles (Lonestar), a guy known as the king of independent movies, wrote the script. So, if nothing else, the script is probably not going to be a complete dog, so it can't be that bad. Granted, it probably won't be great either, but at least there's some quality behind the pen.

IMDB says that William Monahan is writing the script, and he's really good (Kingdom of Heaven, The Departed)...

Now that is very good news. With Spielberg and this guy Monahan on the job Jurassic Park 4 might just kick some real ass!

I guess, from what I heard, is that Sayles either wrote the first draft and then Monahan re-wrote it or it went the other way around. Nothing unusual in Hollywood.

The Departed is just based on the Hong Kong(Chinese) version, although, both are good.
I don't think spielberg would bother directing this film.
It would be nice.
Less CG, more animatronics or whatever it is you call it when people operate it. It looks more realistic.

Bay needs help writing that Transformers 2, I mean, he's a good director/writer, but it would be too stressful.

Yeah, it's a remake of Infernal Affairs (which I liked more than the Departed), but I still think Monahan's a good writer for sure.
