Has anyone else been watching this kick ass show? For TV this stuff is amazing. The acting is great, the special effects are down right spectacular, and the plot is very well written. Lena Headey, the woman playing Sarah Connor, is pretty damn good. She is no Linda Hamilton, but she is a good replacement. the rest of the cast is damn good too. People have been dissing Thomas Dekker as an actor around the web, but I say he is a million times better than Eddie Furlong. And then you have Summer Glau from FireFly and Serenity. That is the GOODS.
I wonder where the plot will go? It is supposed to be after T2 but before T3. Sarah dies of leukemia some day as we know from the movies, but when? Well, we have plenty of time till then. If you have not been checking out this ruthless show I give it 5/5 stars. I hope this shows goes for the long haul.

I'm giving it a shot since there's not much else to watch right now. I think it's okay so far, mainly because of Summer. The new guy playing Connor is a lot better than Furlong, but he still acts like a sissy.

He plays a good 15 year old boy. Most 15 year old boys are sissies. His character shows promise of growing into a man though and that is what counts. I am sure he will get more hard core as time passes and the scripts call for it.

I can't watch this show. Sarah Connor's too hot and too caring . She isn't as motivated as Linda Hamilton was, and not nearly as crazy or tough. That makes a lot of the Terminator experience IMO, is that she isn't looking to get John through school and see if he meets any girls or anything, all she cares about is that he has to stay alive and grow strong to be the leader of the resistance.
Plus it's hard to see Terminator when it can't be rated R :-p
I'm not a big fan of the chick that plays Sarah Conner. I can't really put my finger on it but I just do not like her acting, maybe it's just her character not very Sarah Connerish in my opinion. Plus the show is kind of lack luster after seeing Terminator 3 since you know that every thing they do to stop judgment day is pointless. However I do like the new terminator played by Summer and I'm looking forward to seeing exactly what her capabilities are going to be.

This show is like...14 years too late. And every bit I've seen for it looks corny as hell.

I'm mainly just waiting for the new Terminator with Christian Bale, that's its best chance for success (although there's honestly nowhere to go but down from T2, James Cameron & crew just worked miracles on that thing).

I'm pretty sure the creators of the show are pretending that Terminator 3 never happened.

I am loving this show. And I can't blame them for completely ignoring the events of T3, which was pretty much garbage.
It isn't perfect. I mean as far as continuity goes, why does it feel like Cameron is becoming more robotic every episode? Though of course, that may not mean much after only 3 episodes. Still Cameron is awesome. It's just the little things. Like the look on her face when she was about to kill that cop (before Sarah stopped her). Or when she stopped John from saving a girl who eventually killed herself. That is just some cold Terminator shit right there. Ha.
Really, the show's success hinges on the quality of performance by the 3 main characters, and they are so far pulling it off IMO.

The show is between the T2 and T3. They have all ready referenced stuff that was in T3 like Sarah dieing of Leukemia. Lots of time traveling happens so there is more time for stuff to happen.

IGN TV: Are you working within the continuity of the Terminator movies, specifically Terminator 3?
Friedman: We're gonna go off on our own. I think the thing about T3 is, obviously there was just no Sarah Connor and that's something the fans were never happy with. I don't even think the people who made T3 were happy with that. It just wasn't a choice of theirs. You know, Linda Hamilton was going through some things and didn't want to be a part of it. They had a script at one point I know; there was a T3 that had Sarah in it. I've never read it. I don't know anything about it. But I know that they did and they wanted to do that. They wanted it to be kind of her trilogy, and it never could be. So I think that my feeling was this TV series to me sort of serves as the third act to that trilogy - what could have happened had we followed that after T2. So I almost think of this as T3. To me it takes the place of T3. But also I think that sort of in the spirit of Terminator, it's an alternate timeline. I know a lot of people get very worked up about the continuity and the canon and all that stuff. What I try to do is stay very, very true to the first two movies and then sort of take it from there. But always remain true to the spirit of everyone's intent and again, take some time with this woman and explore what maybe would have happened.

Well that is kind of retarded as they are referencing the time line of the T3. Oh well, so be it. I guess the show will be it's own time line kind of like Smallville has NOTHING to do with any other part of the Superman mythos. Thanks for the update poe....

The wife and I still have mixed feelings about the show. I was always a fan of the films, but the series just doesn't feel quite right so far. One thing we have an issue with is the young female Terminator model, which just seems a bit out-of-place. Speaking of the girl Terminator, why is it that she behaved so convincingly like a human when she first interacted with John Connor, but from there on out she behaved like a robot with no understanding of human behavior at all?
Yes, I know the films and novels have already featured female models like the T-X in Terminator 3 and the I-950 in the novel T2: Infiltrator. That doesn't change the fact that the teenage girl cyborg is a hard pill to swallow. What's next, canine Terminator models?

That is my only issue with the show so far. Doesn't seem to make sense, but I can deal with it, as characters often act different outside of pilot episodes.
Cameron has me convinced though. I'm sure the show wouldn't be nearly as good if she didn't (live up to the name of a "Terminator"). But she does IMO. Like I said, it's the little things.
"Were you going to kill that cop?"
"....."
"Don't answer that..."
Classic...

For TV it is great. For a movie, not so much. I HATE Lost, Heros, and a bunch of other ghey shows that most people LOVE. Smallville has been sucking monkey choad. I like Supernatural, but then I know a lot of other people who hate that show. So for TV, this show is pretty damn good.
