So.....just though I would ask this to get a census....
Feel free to tell you story about what broke, how and your success/failure at getting a replacement...
I'll start....
My Guitar was broken right from the start.... the strum bar would register multiple strums in just one strum....causing you to fail insanely fast.
I just used the online replacement site and recieved it no hassle about 10 days later....
THEN....
My Bass Pedal snapped in half...
this was a bit trickier because the online site does not have an option for "snapped in half base pedal"....
So I called the hotline and this really nice lady asked what was up and I told her....she said no problem and took my address and shipped one directly to me without taking any credit card number and without me having to send back the old one.
OOPS... I wanted to make it so you could select multiple choices..... well....anyway...if a mod sees it.....could you change it so you can.

Can't change the poll, can only edit the options.
Mine haven't crapped out yet but my guitar I hate, it's so shitty I can't stand using it so I just use the GH2 controller. If I had used the RB controller more it may have broken, but so far it works.
As for the bass pedal Angelas broke twice, she got some wooden replacement from ebay or something, it works really well. Might want to try something like that if it happens again.

Yeah, my first one totally snapped it half and sort of flew off and stabbed me.
When I called, they just shipped me a new one and didn't ask for the old one back.
So I had one in two pieces and a new one.
Then the new one cracked in the exact same spot (18th ridge from the bottom) and so I called, they sent me a new one and asked me to send the old one back.
So I sent back my original broken one and kept the newest one and the 2nd cracked one. Then I bought a wood mod from this site: http://www.woodrockpedals.com/ and installed that on my cracked pedal (because actually my broken two were the "new version" pedal and my 3rd pedal was the "old" version). You can tell if you have an old or new pedal by the diagram on that website.
My guitar has iffy star power activation, but I haven't returned it yet.

^thanks.... hopefully my new one will be the new version so I can buy this mod...

nunchuks broke his drum pedal, so I lent him mine, and he broke mine too...
the next day, his came in the mail, but the selfish prick wouldn't give it to me.
oh well, mine came in today, so no big deal i guess.

i can't strum down on the guitar. It is probably something that I can fix easily.
I am not sure if my mic is tone deaf or not... or maybe I am tone deaf. I use to do good on vocals (i thought), and now it is a lot harder.

Guitar strum gave out.. worked for like a week or two. Then it took them like a month to replace it. Finally got it back like a week and a half ago.

lol....its seems that almost every package sold has at least one thing that breaks.
I wonder if RockBand is even profiting yet... (exaggeration.. I know... but it makes you wonder how much replacing all these is costing them).
I don't think I've had any real problems with my equipment. I dislike the Stratocaster since it doesn't like to activate the overdrive. Well, it will do so, but I have to put the guitar at a straight vertical in order for that to happen. My GH2 one is pretty cool. I tilt it slightly and BAM! Overdrive.
Downstrumming also seems a bit difficult to do. It could be because of the "noise absorber" put inside of there. Then there's the whammy bar. That's not broken: it's just too big. I use it, and suddenly I pause the game.
My "toy," GH2 model works much better.
The drums aren't broken, but I would certainly like to break them. The foot pedal seems flimsy, but I'd rather break the pads so I can actually attack them to the thing. I mean, they kind of hover upwards and more often than not, I end up hitting the plastic ring rather than the pad. It's friggin' annoying.
My mic also seems to get the pitches backwards sometimes. I do a low pitch and the arrow goes up, and vice versa.
None of the items are really broken, but they could be.

^Not satisfied, huh? Although the point is that you are supposed to have to hold the controller vertical for overdrive...it's style points for rocking.

HPK, maybe it's not the mic.
Maybe you're a horrible singer :-P

Well, I usually bust out the Overdrive while on a long note streak, so I can get more points. The last thing that I need is to break the combo because of a slow-responding controller.

I'm by no means a good singer, but all I have to do is hit the right pitch. Most of the time I do. Other times I'm slightly off...and other times the mic reads a high pitch as a low pitch. Perhaps I don't hit the pitches at the right volumes *shrugs*

That may be it jumping octaves. Karaoke Revolution did that too. But it's not faulty.

I decided I'd ask someone to change the title to one that is basically a general RockBand Thread as well....
so we can discuss things we unlocked...accomplished and so on....
WHY....
because I just beat Green Grass and High Tides (Guitar) on Expert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woot....
I seriously tried beating this song for a week straight and finally just did tonight.

oh.... and I also got that flawless expert guitar achievement that I almost got playing with you Lucent.

Holy shit; I feel your pain. That was the only song I got stuck on when playing on Expert (which is an accomplishment in itself, for me), and I was going to be damned if I didn't beat that song. There were 50 achievement points on the line! I almost quit the game after failing at the 97% mark. I'm glad I did finish it, though.
Needless to say, I'll never be playing that song on guitar ever again. :thumbl:

^yea.....the rest of the songs were a sinch in my mind....
there needed to be a couple more really hard ones....just not as hard as Green G and High T

Ok, I decided to play Green Grass High Tides on the solo buttons with the guitar on my lap and have my dad hit the back button for star power... and I finally beat it. Haha, I'm like shaking out of excitement now that that's not hanging over my head anymore.
Yay for Beatmania skills, haha.

Try the Metallica DLC. I don't have it, but judging from the videos on youtube Blackend and Ride the Lightning will give a good challenge. I'm gonna buy it next probably.

I could beat Blackened and And Justice For All, but Ride the Lightning kicked me pretty hard in the ass.
Yeah, ...And Justice For All was pretty easy for me, but Ride the Lightning tends to kill me at the solo. Blackened just hurts my hands.
I'm trying to drum on Medium, which is going pretty well for me. I had a lot of fun drumming to Timmy & The Lords of the Underworld. Also, I seem to drum a lot better when I put the drum set really low; I don't hit the plastic as much as I used to.

Speaking of Green Grass and High Tides, a friend was over singing and I did guitar and we went online.. The host chose Green Grass and High Tides. We passed with nobody failing at all :-)
Guitar: Me (Expert)
Vocals: My friend (Easy lolz)
Drum: Random dude (Expert)
Bass: Random dude (Medium)
It was pretty sweet.. I don't play that song much. I beat it the first day I got the game in solo career on expert (Guitar) and then didn't play it again until I did it on drums. I'm more of a guitarist though.

hahhha......that's hilarious...
I wanted to try that but I still don't have my RockBand Guitar...... its at my parents house... so I had to beat it with the GHIII controller.
I was thinking that those tweedlydeedly parts would be a lot easier on the solo buttons....but alas... I wasn't about to drive back home to go an get it.
So..... I had a cool idea that I think would have been way cooler than how you go into overdrive with the drums.....
I think they could have had an extra crash symbol off to the upper right of the four pads....or somthing.... it wouldn't have to be an entirely new pad....but it might be cool becuase that way you could hit it whenever you wanted to....
although.....that might be dumb because that symbol hit wouldn't go along with any of the actual sounds in the song...... meh.... just a quick thought I had.

That gets me thinking of a video I saw of GG&HT. Everyone was on Expert and they got a score of 3,500,000+
It was crazy.

Dude, that's a lot better idea than the stupid drum fill if they could implement it.
It's really frustrating on both drums and vocals that you can't save the guitarists whenever you feel like it.

Yeah I saw that. They're all from scorehero (I'm a member there). The song isn't too hard on expert drums though. If you can 99-100% it on medium drums, you can beat it on hard and possibly expert. The lead guitarist is wulfe, who was on the top (and probably still is) of the GH2 360 leaderboards. Not sure how he is with the leaderboards in GH3 or RB, I haven't really looked. There is also a video of him playing Ride the Lightning (http://youtube.com/watch?v=6s6_XnSNWOc) and he hits almost all of the notes in the solo.

Yay.
Tonight I 100%'ed a song on bass and vocals at the same time on expert. OK SO IT WAS MAPS, so it was super easy and maybe doesn't count.. but I think it should count for something at least.
I also 5-starred Tom Sawyer on expert vocals + expert guitar so yay.
I think I can expert vocal + expert bass every song in the game, and probably only not be able to expert guitar + expert vocal GG&HT since I couldn't consistently beat it on just guitar anyway.
YES, I SIT AROUND PLAYING BAND WORLD TOUR BY MYSELF. Leave me alone.

you should hit me up more often when I am playing other games... I would play with ya....
and Noah too.....unless hes too tired and needs more naps!!!!!!! jk
(inside joke)
oh...by the way.. I finally practiced enough to beat run to the hills on hard drums....
yeah yeah... I know......hard to you is like easy.....but...... that song was a beast at first.....but I think I am getting better finally. Now I am halfway through Expert drums....just beat Paranoid and Dani California.

I still suck at Run to the Hills, even on hard, so go you!
I can beat it, but it's... messy.
My first problem on expert drums was Dead on Arrival. It had a stupid beat.
But then I was stuck on Foreplay/Long Time and Don't Fear the Reaper for forever. I still can't do Don't Fear the Reaper. :'(
(Or RttH on expert, either.)

Since my last post I beat Don't Fear the Reaper (and beat it easily, actually).
And me and D3adcell just beat Run to the Hills together.. him on bass pedal and me on the drum pads. Win, win, win. I am never interested in being able to pass it on my own.. so good enough that I teamed up for it, haha.
