New Explosive INDY Photo Surfaces

While Dr. Jones had an RPG at the ready in Raiders of the Lost Ark, he never actually shot it due to his love with history. Will he shoot one off in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? Perhaps, if the latest photo from Empire is any indication..The magazine also talked with producer Frank Marshall, in which he indicates that the film is now finished. Director Spielberg has finished the editing process and as we know, the first trailer hits theaters Feb 14 with Spiderwick Chronicles (and possibly Jumper).

"This picture is locked," Marshall told us of the current progress. "Steven's pretty much done editing. And we're going into the phase with John Williams where he starts scoring the movie. He's really writing now and then we'll start scoring in February".

Ya, I can't believe there isn't a trailer out for this yet. We see trailers of movies that are a year away, but we can't get one for a movie coming out in May?

INDY Trailer Confirmed Next Week

Variety is basically confirming what we already knew and passed along to you readers. There will be a trailer for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull attached to the Spiderwick Chronicles next weekend, something which was pointed out in an internal theater memo a few weeks back. A spokesman for Spielberg had a brief bit to say about the delay in the above press release...

"In the case of Indiana Jones, he's such a well-known character that it's not like you have to get out there and introduce something new," said Spielberg spokesman Marvin Levy. "You tailor the campaign to the material. We also want to keep a lot of the surprises. That's part of the fun."

Expect the official trailer online shortly thereafter and of course some Youtube wars between bootleggers and Paramount as with any other major trailer release. When the official (sanctioned) trailer pops up next weekend, we'll pass it along to you.
