Desperately need help.

I have a Nikon D40X camera, and I'm trying to upload photos on to my computer, but it says I don't have the proper graphic importer.

I download Irfanview, which didn't help in the least. What the fuck should I do?

If you are connecting via a USB cord, open up My Computer (I'm assuming you have Windows) and open the connection there. Windows should be able to read it.

Or you can go the more expensive route and buy a memory card reader.

I bought a flash card reader for less than 3 euros. Don't be a cheapskate :-p

Transferring pictures from the card through the camera/USB cord is essentially the same thing as transferring directly from a flash card reader. The only difference is the third party (that being the camera in this case).

The problem is the files, apparently. I've never had this problem before, I don't understand what the issue is.

I can, but they won't open or save to my hard drive due to some graphics importing issue.

Can you download them onto another computer and then transfer them that way? Speaking of, have you tried loading them onto another computer at all? perhaps it's the cameras problem or how the camera has them formatted.
