I kind of wondered why we didn't have a thread like this already.

I've always been pretty nice about helping people get new achievements in games and I figured I would announce that. Actually, I'm hoping to get some help with some achievements myself. Have you ever tried getting achievements with random Live members? It isn't too fun.
I figured since most of us know each other in some degree, we'd be more likely to help other E-mpire members acquire new achievements. We could all list the games we have that have online multiplayer and name off some achievements we need help getting.

Achievement help request: I'm looking for someone to help me in Crackdown. I'm trying to get the Pack Rat achievement (Beat a stockpile mission in co-op in under 2:30). It's the last achievement I need for that game.

I'm pretty much willing to help out towards any achievement in the games I own.

I say if we just go through Arcade mode and have 4 people in total, we should be able to get just about every multiplayer achievement. That is, of course, we all got time to go through and get certain achievements. It would suck if anyone had to leave when only a few levels into the achievement whoring.

F089/H: Well, if you want me to try getting into a ranked match with ya, I'll gladly get killed for your cause. It would be pretty cool if you let me get some sniper kills in return, though. I suck with the sniper but I wants that achievement.

But it would be better if we rigged a Gears match for achievements. That way we don't have to deal with other players complaining and such.

^Do an achevement match...

Set round time to 1 min, and 2 rounds, and each round you choose a person from each team. This said person kills the opposite team players and then the two people left just wait out the minute and a draw occurs.

Do this for like 30 mins and you have a way to get achievements really quickly in gears...

However I hate those types of games... I just rather play it normally.

i'll help anyone out in gears. i have all the co op achievements. so i can help. i'm not good at the multiplayer so i have none of those achievements so if anyone wants to sit with me for a while we can do that.

In regards to Gears: Eh, we might have to do multiple matches at different times. Unless its Thursday. I don't do anything on Thursdays, so I could spend quite a bit of time getting killed. And considering damn near everyone has Gears, it shouldn't be a problem having multiple matches.

In regards to Marvel: If wounding wants to get involved, that's cool. If wraith wants to, that's cool too. I'm willing to do get involved with multiple sessions for the achievements since no one seems to play this game online.

Since we pretty much have 4 guys for Marvel already, we can start setting stuff up. What days can you guys play? What time (post timezone please) and for how long?

Well, I finally completed Crackdown. My first 1250/1250 game. Getting that 10G achievement (Pack Rat) was a pain to do, mostly because getting a second player to try helping me with it was a pain. I might be done with the game, but I'm still willing to help people out with it.

Okay, I'm unsure if we're doing the Marvel match tomorrow, but I'll be on fairly early for it (early for me, anyway). If you got the game and want to join, feel free.

and I might be picking up Shadowrun soon. More achievements for me.

Shadowrun is pretty fun, but $60 is quite a hefty price tag for a multiplayer-only game. The game doesn't really accomplish much graphically and the achievements can be a pain in the ass to get (You gotta do a lot of "do this 100 times" for 10 - 20 points). Then there's the server issues. Usually, the match will abruptly end because the servers are retarded.
But the game is still fun to play and is balanced, for the most part. Of course, having people you know on your team helps quite a bit. If you find the game cheaper, I'd suggest picking it up.

Actually,all of the New achievements-Annex and the Map ones can be done in Local..against a second Controller..just make another lame account and sign it in to the second controller and thenplay to round score = 120 Let it cap 2 captures then you walk in at 116 and break it.then go Get your 2 captures.Easily done Raven Down.

This really sucks. I beat Blue Dragon last night and I didn't even get an achievement for beating the damn game. That is really lame....

Blue Dragon had some really messed up achievements. There's like one for doing 50 back attacks and then 100, I believe. As well as running away from a certain number of fights. The one that really boggled my mind was getting every character to level 99.

There's quite a few of them that require a lot of leveling up.

You probably would be but now you got to catch up. You follow my orders mawhahaha. Yeah but I do suck at Halo but I've gotten better. It usually depends on my team if we win. I can get the most kills or just plain suck at times. My average is around 12-16 kills per game when I am on. I'll make sure I get the twin towers grade two by the time you get back on heheh. Then I should get the star after the twin towers, right?

Destroy an enemy vehicle with equipment, right?

Chapter 3 (Tsavo Highway), spawn at the Rally Point. You should get to an area where there's a turned over Warthog and a broken bridge to jump over. Go to the turned over Warthog and look for a Trip Mine. Jump over the bridge and you'll have a Wraith shooting at you as well as some Shades. A few Brutes will be riding around in Choppers. Toss the mine in a location you can walk around and lure a Chopper into running over it.
Hopefully it'll get destroyed. If not, kill yourself and try again. It could take a few tries (I remember in the Beta that the trip mine could stick to vehicles. It still might, but I can't say for sure. You may want to try it out).

I need someone to help me get the Hydropwnage and the Arsenal achievements, so if someone is willing to lose a ranked match by my hand, that'd be great.

Carcasonne
I need two other people to help out in a player match. Essentially, I need a 9 tiled city, and I need to beat the two of you by 50 points. Nothing major.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
I just need to organize something where we have 4 people playing at once. Once I get that, I'm pretty sure I can handle getting the arcade mode achievements on my own.

Gauntlet
This one is odd, but if a group of us could get to level 20, that'd be sweet. Just getting to level 10 would suffice.

Rock Band
Alright, I'm aiming to get all of the achievements possible from Band World Tour mode. Since Harmonix seemingly forget to make BWT available over Xbox Live, I'm going to need three over people to travel to my city for the sole purpose of making an awesome Rock Band band. I can play on Expert, but I should probably be on Bass just to be safe. So, I need an Expert singer, drummer, and guitarist.
This means you're helping me get into the Hall of Fame and you're going to help me become a Platinum Artist. That's right, we're doing the Endless setlist too. So, if you guys want to buy plane tickets or rent vehicles to help me out, that would be great.

I'd actually like to go on a small vacation of sorts, out of state. However, I doubt I could do anything like that anytime soon. I got some weeks off from work during the summer, but I lack the funds to get there. Unless I acquire an absurd amount of money between now and later on, it looks like I won't be your not-so-great Expert guitarist.
And no, I wouldn't be doing it for the achievements. Although those are a nice plus >.>

Indeed. Well, aside from a small errand I have to take care of between the hours of 4 and 6 (5 and 7 for you eastern time zone folks :P), I have the entire day available after 12:30/1:30. Okay, so the whole Carcasonne/Undertow thing didn't happen. Go figure. I'll try doing it again tomorrow (today) during the early afternoon.

In the meantime, I will be very satisified with my "THIS! IS! ANNEX!" achievement. If that just wasn't a waste of my lifeforce...

Lucent and I are the biggest losers when it comes to that game.... we seriously spent over 6 or 7 hours playing that game (after having played it for at least that much beforehand) .... practically all in one sitting.....well....for me I think it was.... just playing one level over and over again..... after I got a good ways into it though I just started playing the casual game all the way through multiple times.... eventually she and I got all the way up into the top 500 on the leaderboards.... all because we wanted that last 10,000 kills achievement. lol

You two aren't losers for that. I planned on getting the 10,000 kills after I get the ranked match achievements. But I'll be getting 10,000 kills by myself, since no one wants to play with me while I'm achievement hunting. SO BLAH!
