Just making a thread for this upcoming online game.

If you think the talk is best suited for the MGS4 thread then ignore this thread :P

I think this deserves its own thread too BlackSin. :)

MGS Online seems to be like its gonna be the next comprehensive multiplayer title after Warhawk.

I can't wait until more info comes out on this title such as player numbers and what effects do the environments have on battle.

-rep for starting a new thread against my wishes >:O

Anyhoo, I'm excited to see what kind of weird characters are gonna be in this game (kinda like the Rumble Roses characters in Subsistence), and I'm also interested in when this game's coming out! I wish they'd do a beta in the US...

as for online game? this will be my number one :P but i didnt get a taste of the Warhawk beta so im going by what im seeing.

Haris

Are you serious? Most people say MGO is going to be a standalone game so it deserves another thread.

Shit, MGS is the best series ever made so it deserves as many threads as you can make.

LiquidEagle

Warhawk's gonna be sweet for sure, and I think you'll really like it, but Metal Gear just rules all, it's a proven fact.

Haris

Yeah Warhawk sounds great MGO is going to be just amazing.. using all those new moves in the MGS4 gameplay demo in multiplayer is just sick.

Passive

and with the gameplay features, like grenade arc, the controlable camera, fps view, GRAW like view. and the MGS traditional third person view, the selection of guns from MGS.

its going to be very very cool.

and we still dont really know much

from the interviews it seems that MGO will be a separate release.

Shogun can spell separate properly! It's a rare thing on the forums :P

VG Aficionado
07-31-2007, 07:24 PM
MGO will most likely be a full-blown game to be released separately (and probably sooner) than MGS4, so yeah, it better gets its own thread.

Passive

ha! take that liquid :P J.k

Im hoping this gets released before MGS4 just so we can get use to the new control system and it will keep us occupied until the big one arrives ^^

This should have came bundled with MGS4. BRD must be big enough to support both. It is very aggravating to buying two parts of a game separately and denting the wallet so aggressively.

masteratt
07-31-2007, 08:14 PM
Yeah- Biggest ripoff in the history to be honest.

I don't care how good it is, I'm not paying extra for the online game.

cliffbo
07-31-2007, 08:15 PM
i've got a feeling that the two games will be connected somehow. if you can save camouflage data and transfer it over, that would be one reason to own both. perhaps you will be able to port a gun or two across... maybe one that you win after completing the single player game... that sort of thing

hybridofsteel
07-31-2007, 08:20 PM
I'm sure you can have online-single player connectivity if it were in the same disc as well. There is no valid argument for Konami to sell this separately other than to reap $$$.

curryking1
07-31-2007, 08:20 PM
I'm with masteratt and hybrid... I don't like it at all.

Only if MGO is somehow this huge package filled to the brim with content and quality would I consider it for purchase. If it's a thing on it's own it better hold it's own against stuff like UT3's multiplayer or Battlefield 2 which are (essentially) online only games.

I highly doubt I will find it worth that to me.

Passive

:whip: what is this blasphemy?! i want Kojima to fill an entire BRD with MGS4 stuff!

and that would be cool cliffbo, like transfering things you attain in MGS4 to MG:O if that was a feature i doubt it would be visa versa though.

as for buying them separate, i prefer it this way, beacuse every man and his dog will buy MGS4 and you will get a bunch of wankers in MGO because they see it in the main menu and wanna try it out, not know wtf they will be doing thinking its like anf fps or something. (very pre-mature judgmental of me i know lol)

How can you call it a ripoff when we don't know how much content is in it or how much it will be going for? I doubt you would see it at a to high of a price. Wait till you see how much content is in it and at what price to tell if it's a ripoff or not which I doubt it is.

Well that's the main question. I'm wondering what MGO here is going to offer to warrant a full standalone game price. It's gotta be able to stand up to the likes of games like UT3 and BF2 in quality if it's going to be standalone and if people are going to drop 60 quid or bucks on it.

solidsnakejej

I doubt it will be as high as a regular game it'll probably around the $20-$30 range. And like Cliffbo said it could be a PSN title like warhawk.

^ haha ;)

But really im not so phased about MGO being a multiplat. I mean we know the 360 can handle the new MG engine so it wont look below MGS4 visually, and i doubt the content will be to big to dit a dvd.

But i still stand firm on having MGS4 an exclusive ;)

Haris
08-02-2007, 08:37 PM
If MGO is multiplat that might be what pushes me to get a 360.. I mean the fact that Assasin's creed, GTA, Halo, and Force Unleashed are all 360 titles anyway, plus the Splinter Cell exclusivity and the possible threat of a new KOTOR, and the cheaper pricetag...

The only reason I'm holding out on my decision is that Metal Gear is the greatest franchise ever created and my favorite of all time and it would be a shame not to be able to play it if I got 360.

I'm still pissed I haven't played portable ops.. but there must be some way to do it without buying a psp

LiquidEagle
08-02-2007, 08:52 PM
The fact that KojiPro is releasing MGO as a separate game says a lot about their confidence in it as a product that can stand on its own feet, especially against Western online games.

It'll be well-worth the money so stop your bitching, and go complain about a developer who isn't making the best games ever!

Beta is apparently here ...for Japan.

Quick, check your official Konami decoder rings to see if you've gotten a Kojima-san secret message asking you to participate in an early build of Metal Gear Online! If you can navigate through GameFront, near the bottom is a short mention of the beta build of Metal Gear Online and how about 3,000 people were invited to download it and try it out. We'd love to see what the game is all about and if the "tactical espionage action" can still hold up in an online setting. We're about 98% sure that you'd have to have a Japanese account to get the invite, so if you've got one, check that out and let us know if you've made the cut.

Some impressions from someone in the beta:

The combat is really f**king cool, there's different lobbies, each named after a MGS character ; Snake, Otacon, Liquid etc (yeah, 95% of the people are in Snake lobby).

- It's rather annoying to change to first person mode (L1+triangle) especially when you're fighting people. The box has made a return! It's pretty funny that I managed to kill quite from a cardboard box that totally didn't fit in with the environment.

- There are only two maps in the beta. One looks like the arctic and the other is something like the middle east that we see in the trailers and gameplay footage.

- Voice chat is supported aswell as typing. To bring up chat window is left or right on the d-pad.

- To change to the position on your back once laying down is triangle, tapping triangle and holding the joystick in whatever direction will allow you to roll in that said direction.

- Grendaes are cool, so are stun knifes.

- No slow down, solid frame rate.

- The camera control can be customised in the options menu, at first it was a pain. You can invert etc and if you so wish, have it player controlled entirely.

Difficulty wise, it's not hard to get the hang of at all. It took a bit of 'mashing' to find out how to roll onto the back of your character

The visuals are 'nice' but they seem to be a bit unpolished right now. I can't imagine MGO seeing the same presentation as MGS4 (I guess due to the restrictions that come with an online game?) but yeah, still very very nice. The character models are very detailed too.

There are stat rankings I think (I haven't really looked too much into it but looking at a screenshot I took, i see alot of 0000's next to alot of the players names followed by emblems). More interesting is the way you can customise how your character performs. Think of it something like the talent system in WoW I guess, you can alter how fast you run, skill with certain weapons and whatnot.

As for the 'hacking', If you mean the ability to hack out the nano thingos from enemies, No - Haven't figured it out yet. I've only played for an hour or so, been on the phone with Dell bitching about my delayed Laptop >:(

[edit] TTP - you press L1 to change into the aiming mode. you can change to free aim by pressing square.

Okay, just finished a few rounds. Heres the answers and some new exciting things I found.

Coolio - Yes, it stays in the same position you were in previously.

TTP - Yeah, same thing.

Some interesting things happened in a match I hosted. For one, I saw the power of the claymore first hand, people go flying, whilst burning. It's a really nice looking explosion.

This isn't something related to the game mechanics or whatever but some crazy ass player joined my game and actually killed people by sneaking up on them, strangling them until they were blacked out (you have an oxygen metre under the health bar) and then would proceed to head shot them. Crazy.

I had a better look around at the rank system or 'score sheet'.
You've got your normal kills, deaths etc like most other shooter games. You get your headshots counted also which brings me onto the next thing I tried out;

The Sniper Rifle!

10x zoom for your evil intentions!
Once you fire it the recoil is pretty intense, you totally lose your aim if you wanted to take another shot.

I'm still amazed at the force blur and stuff from the explosion, I think it's fucking awesome

That guy who strangle > head shot me was something else :( Hideo Kojima himself playing confirmed.

X - crouch > crawl positions (while running: diving roll)
O - reload ammo
Triangle - standing: salute (spreads this aura thing around to local team-mates, it's like a blue mesh so you can see them behind walls etc) crouching: point emote (?)
Square - toggle autoaim

D-pad:

left & right: toggle display of chat window

control sticks: left - move character, right - move camera

R3: toggle over shoulder view in aim mode from left to right.

R1 - fire
R2 - secondary fire while in aim or toggle weapon menu
L1 - aim
L2 - toggle item mini menu

Edit - Also, I really like the lighting in these pics, it's looking really natural, vintage MGS styles to be able to do that. I'm liking these colourations much better than the yellows that we've only seen so far. This is far more attractive honestly, really awesome looking all around. Sharp textures, sharp character models, can't see any jaggies, lots of geometry in the levels, not only straight edges, lots of round egdes as well, very natural look to this warzone, very polished visually I think.

This one pic conveys all of that I think.

Metal Gear Online Hands-On
We visited Konami's UK offices to get a hands-on play with the other upcoming Metal Gear title.
By Luke Anderson, GameSpot UK
Posted Feb 20, 2008 2:45 am PT

With so much hype over Snake's upcoming--and supposedly final--adventure in Metal Gear Solid 4, it's easy to overlook its sister title, Metal Gear Online. Developed with the same engine that will be featured in MGS4, MGO takes the spirit that has made Metal Gear Solid a best-selling franchise and places it in an online multiplayer experience.

Metal Gear Online is, simply, Metal Gear online. That's not a bad thing, though, because fans of the series will be able to duke it out against one another in the classic multiplayer formats you'd expect to see in other online shooters such as Rainbow Six Vegas, Gears of War, and Team Fortress 2. MGO is a third-person online shooter, but brings the best parts of the Metal Gear universe along for the ride.

Metal Gear Online will pit up to 16 players in all-out online warfare. When first playing MGO, you'll need to register a new character, a process that offers an impressive level of customisation. You can customise your face, headwear, torso, legs, leg attachment, head attachment (such as adding a headset, balaclava, or goggles), vest/jacket, and camouflage options (of which we saw beige, smoke blue, black, and green options). You'll then need to choose four specialties (skills) for your player, ranging from shotgun, sniper, submachine gun, and support specialties to others such as increasing your auto-aim accuracy (which, while playing a match, can be activated with a quick button press).

The game modes in MGO combine the usual deathmatch and team-deathmatch modes with three mission scenarios: base, rescue, and capture, with support for up to 16 players per lobby. Base missions involved the capture of three chokepoints, which we played on the Ambush Alley map, which appears to be inspired by MGS4. Once all three points are in your team's possession--achieved by holding control of each zone until a countdown has completed--it's time to celebrate back at the base with a cold brew.

One of the maps we saw looked great, with plenty of distressed buildings, debris to hide behind, and lots of different textures to help you blend in with the environment. One of the chokepoints was in a small depression covered by a camo net, which provided perfect cover. As we soon discovered, this was an ideal place to ambush other players or leave a few well-concealed claymore mines. In all of the matches we played team play was vital to win, and in addition to yelling and hollering, team commands can be issued easily with the select button with ones for attack, defensive, and general communication commands.

Rescue mission--essentially a capture-the-flag mode--was played on the Groznyj Grad map, this time inspired by Metal Gear Solid 3. Your old friend Ga-ko the duck is back from MGS3 and needs rescuing from the evil clutches of the opposing team. However, rather than go in guns blazing, we had to tread carefully in this mode as we had only one life per match. The match can be won in two ways, by either defending your base and therefore eliminating the opposition, or capturing the other team's Ga-ko and returning it to your base.

Control was the last mission mode we tried, and from what we could see, it was a variation of rescue. Rather than just one target, however, there were two this time. Each team is required to rescue Ga-ko or his friend Kerotan the frog and get them back to base without being killed.

Graphically, MGO looks much like what we've seen of MGS4--which isn't surprising given they share the same engine. Artistically, it looks much like previous MGS games with a next-gen polish, and the weapons, menus, characters, and overall feel isn't a departure from previous Metal Gear instalments. The in-match soundtrack has been borrowed from prior MGS instalments, and we were able to choose themes from MGS3, MGS2, and Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops before each match. While some will prefer the raw sound of battle, we found that the music didn't distract and, if anything, heightened the tension of the matches.

We saw 16 weapons and accessories in the game, split between primary, secondary, and support items of which you choose one of each before each round, or before respawning. Primary weapons include the V2.83 submachine gun, AK102 and M4 custom assault rifles, SVD and Mosin Nagant sniper rifles, and M870 Custom shotgun. A ballistic shield can also be chosen as a primary weapon, which was great for deflecting fire but had to be swapped for a secondary weapon when we wanted to attack. Secondary weapons include the GSR and MK2 pistols, and the support category offers the usual MGS tricks of the trade with fragmentation, stun, smoke and chaff grenades, claymore mines, and, strangely enough, a men's magazine.

At times you can also obtain extra items during matches. We found enhanced night-vision goggles up for grabs at one of the control points in the base mission, as well as other items familiar to the MGS universe such as cardboard boxes, which can prove useful in battle. We attempted to hide in a cardboard box on several occasions, and provided you don't get caught, they can offer a good form of camouflage. The maps we saw often had numerous boxes littered about, so you can never know if someone is hiding in one.

While the game's title clearly hints that an Internet connection is required to play, we still hope to see offline play in the final version. Konami hasn't suggested if they'll reveal new features or offer the game at a lower price point, but it will certainly be competing against other fully featured shooters on the PS3 with both online multiplayer and a full offline single-player campaign.

None of the characters we saw have appeared in previous MGS titles, and Konami was tight-lipped about whether characters such as Solid Snake, Raiden, or Big Boss would be playable in the game. While many fans would love to fill the shoes of Snake, Konami says that MGO is more of a "Foxhound training camp" for would-be operatives rather than a new game for existing characters.

One of the things MGS has never featured is a sprint function. It seems that with MGO's gameplay based on competition, it would certainly benefit from one now. When being shot at, the best you can muster is a brisk walk, which isn't particularly conducive to avoiding fire and can be downright futile when trying to beat the buzzer in the dying moments of a match. On the plus side, the extra time taken to reach objectives might allow you to come up with better tactics, especially as you'll have to wait a long time for another go if you die. It also makes the overall speed of the game much slower than some rivals with a faster pace. That wasn't a major gripe from our experience, but it would be nice to have a sprint option if you desire to use it.

Modes includes base, rescue and captures missions and deathmatchAnother thing worth mentioning is that you can't quickly equip or unequip items by tapping L2 or R2, like you could in previous Metal Gear outings. Instead, a quick tap cycles through weapons or accessories, and holding L2/R2 brings up the submenus. It makes a bit of a difference, as you'll be quicker on the move when you don't have weapons equipped.

Metal Gear Online is shaping up nicely, and we felt that Metal Gear's usual emphasis on stealth has been swapped for outright action. We hope that Konami adds a greater range of gametypes in the final version, as it may be a bit of a lighter experience than other upcoming PS3 shooters. We'll see how well it can measure up to those titles, including Konami's own Metal Gear Solid 4, when it's released later in the year.

Eurogamer preview (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=93022):

That's what Metal Gear Online is, then. It's Metal Gear Solid stripped down to its bare essentials, shorn of its characters, its cut-scenes and its cinematic ambitions. Divested of the storytelling elements that have provoked so much love and so much hate from gamers, Metal Gear Online instead offers up stealth and combat in their purest form - no cut-scenes, no missions, just 16 players waging online battles. Admittedly, this isn't the first time that Metal Gear Solid has sported an online component. MGS3's second incarnation, Subsistence, and the PSP's first proper MGS title, Portable Ops, both allowed players to take the game online, and both implemented it pretty well. However, neither console is noted for its online play, and it's fair to argue that Metal Gear Online on the PS3 represents the first really high-profile effort to bring the series online.

The game's conceit is that it's a VR training device - which gives it an excuse for nice digital effects when players spawn, as well as 3D indicators in parts of the maps.

Although it's being described as a standalone title, we're not actually sure how MGO is going to end up in our hands. An announcement at TGS last year revealed a plan to bundle a "starter pack" for the game with MGS4, with players then expanding it through content packs purchased on the PlayStation Store. There's some suggestion that the "starter" game will also be available as a download, putting this into the same league as the likes of Warhawk at the forefront of Sony's ambitious digital distribution plans.

However it arrives in the end, Metal Gear Online is shaping up to be a high profile part of the whole MGS4 circus when it finally rolls into town. Taking its cues from the game's own tale of near-future warfare and battling private military companies (PMCs), it's a great looking multiplayer shooter with realistic weapons and equipment - not to mention the weight of ten years of evolution, polish, grit and humour behind it.

It's a third-person shooter, with up to 16 players filling out maps that range in size from about the scale of three or four decent-sized (albeit bombed-out) houses up to the expanse of a large abandoned factory and warehouse complex. Each character is customised, both visually (clothes, accessories and facial appearance) and in terms of abilities, which are set by the player as Skills and subsequently enhanced by an experience system as you play.

Hm. I'm wondering how often the information above each players' head is going to show up. Hopefully it's not around all the time (the screens shown without it would suggest that it is not). If it was, it'd drive me nuts after a while.

I love the little strategic elements in the game like the card board boxes littering levels or the Magazines hypnotizing your opponents for an easy kill and especially the part about being able to stealthally shoot you opponent with the tranq gun without them knowing until they collapse leaving them at your mercy to do with as you please :)

Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops online was pretty cool although I really didn't care much for it -_-

Can't wait till thus comes to the 360....yea I said it....seems if any MGS is to touch the 360 its not gonna be MGS4, thats for hell sure, but MGO isn't bumped out.... Either way I dont care but hey,

It just doesn't sit right with me, seeing as MGS3: Subsistance had the online component in the same game.

I wouldn't mind 2 discs for MGS4 if they had to (one with MGO and the other with MGS4), but packaging it as 2 seperate games seems weird, and I wouldn't want a trend to be started just because MGS was sucessful with this format.

But yeah, I guess I'll retract my BS statement for now... Atleast untill I see more.

lol, yeah, they have spent millions of dollars creating 2 completely separate games, one a conclusion to an epic series, and one a complete online multiplayer game taking place in the same universe to which they will be giving you a taste of for free with the purchase of MGS4. yes, thats total BS to me.

Well there are many things yet to be revealed including the format which with the game is going to be delivered. It could come on a separate package or as a downloadable game or a micro transaction with us buying that maps in packs or separate maps through the starter pack in MGS4 (which I hope is not what they do). Hopefully we will know in the coming weeks.

edit: they could also be developing it for the 360 like OG suggested this wouldn't be that surprising.

Orange Box ring a bell. You got Half-Life Episode 1 and 2, Portal, and TF2 all in 1 package. And it is same sorta design going on here too, with TF2 and Portal being the same engine modified to do a slightly different thing.

I'll go out on a limb and say, the most stuff inside the Orange Box is really outdated. Everything except EP2, TF2 and Portal is old (well ok, there's only HL2 and EP1 left^^ and HL2 is the only full game inside).

I haven't played any of these games on a console (PC only mind you), but I wouldn't buy the box, if I owned HL2 already. I'd get EP2 maybe, if it wasn't totally overpriced sold seperately (every item it much TOO expensive seperately!! I mean, 30€ for TF2 or 20€ (iirc) for Portal is quite heavy)

I'd prefer seperate SP and MP games somehow... IF either the price gets lowered for the SP (not gonna happen any time) part or if the SP part gets longer and more fleshed out (not for all games, most are quite allright lengthwise). I usually seldomly play MP, and shooter games just aren't my cup of tea (I wouldn't categorise MGS as a shooter, yet the online part is) and thus I am not forced to pay for something I don't really need or want.

A starter pack would be cool for people who only casually play online, like me :D I like it^^

Seriously, let's hope it does.

Hope this helps.

The game's menus give the strong impression that Kojima Productions isn't skimping on Metal Gear Online's functionality outside the game, either. Game-types range from flag-style missions (where you actually end up competing over a small, floating, cheerful-looking rubber duck, which bobs above the head of the player carrying it) such as CTF and flag defence, through to "base missions" (where you capture and hold locations on the map, either to earn points towards victory or to win outright as the first team to hold all the locations) and simple, straightforward deathmatch. The server browser is pretty comprehensive, offering plenty of information about the games you're joining (or setting up), and we especially like the ability to give a server a rating out of five stars when you leave. Those games by control-freak or kick-happy players should quickly get booted to the bottom of the lists as a result.

A quick survey of the rest of the menus reveals further tantalising options. Photographs taken in-game can be stored on the PS3 hard drive (shades of Halo 3 here, perhaps?), while there are menu options hinting at proper support for Clans, an in-game email-style messaging system, proper support for friends lists, and of course, the MGO shop - although this sadly wasn't working, so we couldn't go in for a sneaky peek around.

So they are planning to make MGO a stand alone title? If that's the case I'll be disappointed because I really don't think I should have to pay for an online portion if I'm already going to be paying for MGS4. They, in my mind, are trying to just milk more money out of the consumer and who knows they might be setting a new trend for other developers to follow if this "idea" works. I think it's flawed and wrong. Go back to the drawing board.

It's because it's Metal Gear that I know it won't be a rip off... Metal Gear add-ons & such like Substance and especially Subsistence have always been priced extremely well... just look at the MGS Essentials coming out! $30 for that is a complete steal, no way around it. Kojima & Co are very keen to pricing and if MGO is indeed something separate that we're going to be paying for, it'll be worth it.

For me personally this game has to be the bargain of the century i dont know what most of you in the posts above are complaning about.

Metal Gear Online: Open Beta in Europe confirmed

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced its plans for a public beta program across Europe for its forthcoming Metal Gear Online title for PLAYSTATION®3. Konami will release Metal Gear Online Premiere Beta via the PlayStation Store from April 17th, with online tests running from April 21st through May 6th. An all-new Metal Gear title specifically designed as a multi-player online experience, Metal Gear Online will be released worldwide as part of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots on June 12th.

The beta program will offer players a unique chance to sample the innovative multi-player experience of Metal Gear Online, which emphasizes cooperative team-based play. Those downloading the beta will be invited to explore two maps – “Blood Bath” and “Groznyi Grad” – each of which requires unique strategies in order to achieve victory.

Metal Gear Online will launch as part of Guns of the Patriots in June as a Starter Pack, comprising five unique stages: “Ambush Alley,” where trenches and sandbags litter an arena built for close and medium range combat; “Blood Bath,” a two-tier battle setting; and “Groznyi Grad,” the expansive Shagohod development complex from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater which features human catapults that propel players to different areas of the environment. Rounding out the five stage set are the dusty, Middle Eastern alleyways found in Guns of the Patriots entitled “Midtown Maelstrom,” and the rooftop settings of “Urban Ultimatum.” Konami is committed to the release of additional Expansion Packs to be released throughout the year.

Up to 16 people can play simultaneously, with game worlds created using Guns of the Patriots’s incredible 3D engine. Retaining the classic stealth combat gameplay of the Metal Gear series, players are dropped in a series of war zones wherein different challenges await. Five game modes await players on stages that span the globe and the history of MGS: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture and Base and Sneaking missions. Additional information on Metal Gear Online and the beta program can be found at www.konami-mgo.com.

they clearly say that MGS4 will include the MGO starter pack, followed by donwloadable and purchaseable content.

There not developing 2 seperate games IMO, but they are treating it like 2 seperate experineces. You still get to go online when you play MGS4 from all I have read.

The reason they are treating it as 2 separate games is because they are developed by two separate dev teams. MGO was originally planned to release a few months before MGS4.

I didn't know that... but based on thew same engine if I understand correctly and the starter pack is part of MGS4

I keep reading innovative experience with MGO... I hope it is.. I need it to be.

Yeah the starter pack comes packaged with MGS4 correct? So you might as well preorder MGS4 to get in on the beta of MGO since (I assume) you were going to buy MGS4 anyways.

how much usage did MGS3's online get?
I like the idea of an online game set in the MGS4 universe, but frankly, I don't think there will be a market for it outside MGS fans. having said that, the MGS fanbase is huge- as sales of each game shows.

From what they posted in the blog it seems their trying to roll out this service for US like they have in Japan. I'm not certain of this and I think it will ruin a lot of what the PSN structure has in place now. Just hope it doesn't go well during the beta and the decide to scrap it.

For clan names, these are the MGS-related ones I can think of off the top of my head:

Black Chamber
FOX-HOUND
FOX
Dead Cell
Cobras (Cobra Squad)
Praying Mantis (MGS4 related, try to get this one!)

and from liquid:
Black Chamber
FOX-HOUND
FOX
Dead Cell
Cobras (Cobra Squad)
Praying Mantis (MGS4 related, try to get this one!)

GREAT great MGS names ^^ all very noticable all very loved (and feared). I presonally like Fox-Hound, Black Chamber, Philanthropy and Praying Mantis. But my only worry is most will see the name as a 'try hard' sort of name.
