Hey guys,
i have a problem with my flash player or at least it seems like i have.
For example www.gametrailers.com everytime when i try to watch a video nothing happens, when i try Quicktime as the player it just says "?", when i try WMP it says "Ready" but nothing happens and when i try the flash player the video gets bufferd in half a second and it doesnt play or firefox freezes.
I have the feeling its my flashplayer because i tried a flashgame site ( www.bubblebox.com ) and i get a similiar problem.
The games just freeze sometimes.
I didnt changed something on my PC, hard or software wise, it just happend....

PC specs:
Intel P4 HT 2.99 Ghz
1024 MB DDR2 RAM
ATi x600 (with the latest drivers thanks to Garfunkel)
Win XP SP2
Firefox 1.5.no idea (where can i see which version i have?)

Oh and it shouldnt be a virus problem because my virusscanner doesnt say anything....

Try running spybot or adaware closing out your browser and then opening it again. I have a weird problem that every so often flash based stuff dies after 2 seconds and that seems to fix it temporarily. Haven't found the main cause yet though.

Yeah but like i said had this problem www.bubblebox.com too and it was a very strange problem.
Im surfing a lot on it and flashgame sites like this one and NEVER had such a problem.
So it felt strange that i have the problem with gametrailers at the same time...

Have you tried re-installing Flash?

Nope i wanted to ask before doing something like this.
Im a bit cautious with browser plug-ins etc....

Browser plug ins like Flash aren't anything to worry about.

Update it to the latest, same with Firefox, and then try it.

Could be a plug in. After i installed Ad Blocker Plus on firefox it would not load flash videos from gamevideos.com or gametrailers. I had to disable it and it worked fine.

i use adblock plus and don't have a problem with gametrailers. i did however have a problem where i wasn't fully updated or something else i can't remember but they had a sticky thread about it at the gametrailers' forum.

anyway i looked for that thread again. it's gone but hey you're not alone and there appears to be no answer: http://forums.gametrailers.com/showthread.php?t=318482
