The game is supposed to come in the Summer to Japan.
I wrote "maybe a rumour" because www.gamefront.de isnt the most reliable source, but at the same time they say SEGA announced it in the Famitsu.
So lets wait and see.

^nah, not fan fan. I hate them pouty lips soooo much in this anime. I swear it looks like everyones got a potato for a head ;) lol

Then again, the racing sequences shown in that anime are niceeee. Story's fine too. Just not crap, is all I'm sayin :)

The game on PSP was all about drifting and that's the whole point of the anime too. I hope they improve the drifting further to make it less floaty than the PSP version.

Yeah, I played Initial D briefly in the arcades. It's not bad; more in the vein of TXR or TXR: Drift, but more arcadey upgrade system. Has a strong following here in the States, surprisingly.

Japanese Tuner games are probably the ONLY authentic Tuner titles on the market that don't involve ricer gaudy bullshit.

It'd be a nice addition to the racing game library of mine.

Initial D Confirmed For PS3 - First Images

We reported a few days ago that the next installment of the Initial D racing series could be headed for the PlayStation 3, however it was only a rumour at the time.

Now Japanese magazine Famitsu has confirmed the existence of the title, as well as revealing the very first images of the game in action.
