Gaming fans around the world have been frothing at the mouth for years just thinking about the idea of a new Smash Bros. game. When the first details were released back at E3 2005, savage fanboy cries-of-joy reverberated across nations. While delays may have extended those cries far longer than anyone hoped, the day of polygonal pandemonium is finally upon us...

We have reached the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl...
at least in the Americas, that is.

Unfortunately, we have also reached the moment we all receive another ridiculous set of numbers to share with fellow annoyed gamers via Game Specific Friend Codes...

Yes, it is true. You thought just one Friend Code per console was annoying enough? Well Nintendo decided to make matters even worse by having you share additional numbers for every online enable game you purchase.

In any case, this annoyed gamer would like to set his frustrations aside for a moment to introduce E-mpire's Official Smash Bros. Brawl Friend Code Thread.

Feel free to use this thread as an easier platform for sharing you Brawl specific Friend Codes with other E-mpire forum goers you'd like to challenge to an intense online battle. Keep in mind it will also be helpful to post your general Wii Friend Code as well... seeing as many of us, including myself, have not been up to date with past Wii Friend Code threads.

basically...just post similar to what I posted below.... and only that (and perhaps a way you'd like to voice chat using other means like Xbox Live or skype if you feel like doing so)... further discussion and so forth can be done in other threads just so this one stays clean and easy to scan through. I will possibly update this post when I have time....and any mod can help out if they'd like.

I've only played with a few friends so far. It was an enormous pain in the ass to set up. It literally took about 15 minutes to coordinate the whole thing. Once we got going it was great, but there was some occasional lag. Most of the time it was minor but sometimes it was really annoying.

I've tried to connect "with anyone" but so far have not been able to.

I don't have my friend code on hand at the moment but I'll post it later.

Weird about what happened with that second game we actually played, Hylian. First one was good, though. You almost rallied from a 3-to-1 deficit to upset me there.

I had tons of WFC problems tonight.
Couldn't find a game forever, then when I did, they disconnected or it got so laggy that it was basically frozen.

hey....at least I won that once with Pikachu.... that was pretty cool too how I was able to doge your pit final smash and kill you during it with a kirby star thingamajig.

but ..... I think we must be too far away for a clean connection becuase a couple of those were so darn laggy.... I was playing with my friends here in the same state and it was fast as lightning.....well....not really but you get what I mean.

Online wasn't as fluent as I thought it would be. Kinda hard to get used to the delay. I have to have a little foresight as to how far I'm going to move when i press a direction, same goes with attacking. But it was still fun.

I'm impressed with how Nintendo established the connection to this game. Too bad I cant say the same for Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3........Atari fucked up SOOOOOOOOOOO bad its not even funny.

Btw, about the delay some of you have mentioned in the online matches. I've been playing online quite a bit. And there have been one or two times that the delay has been prominent. However, usually if there IS a delay, it evens out after a while as everyone synchs up. I can also say with certainty that most matches lately have had no lag whatsoever. Everyday the service gets better. Although, I do wish they'd hurry up and fix the "Brawl with Anyone" thing.

I had the same problem. I tried it twice and it gave me an error both times. I checked what I had written down against what was on here to make sure I got it right, and it matched, but I still can't register it.
