whether or not you agree, saying that someone that i think is much more attractive than i am, is ugly, really has an effect on how i think about myself. now besides the fact that it just plain really is insulting to women to post them in a thread and rate their ugliness, this is the only forum that allows this kind of negative dissection of ANYTHING without serious intervention and for the most part, you all act like we live in equal worlds and somehow offense is measured by how much you're offended by something but that's never been how the world works or even how any of you have expected it to work. if someone continuously and unabashedly and without cause or explanation made fun of metallica, or grand theft auto you would mount a full-throated defense and would most likely get almost all of the forum behind you.

anyway aside from that, this is about a person's body. now a lot of the time a person without the help of plastic surgery just has the body that they have, it isn't like a videogame that could have been tweaked or improved in its making. almost always the way we look is inherent, and cutting apart that to use as an insult is no different than insulting someone because they have a mental disability or are deformed.

as for og specifically, his are actually the only comments that are specifically against the rules because whether or not its okay to call women ugly, it's not okay to spam. but even further, the celebration of him continually, and lazily saying that each girl wasn't good enough to fuck was sickly grating in its empty insulting bravado.

anyway all of that is just a reason, how about the fact that the reputation system is made to let people know when you approve or disapprove of a post regardless of whether or not you like the person, or if it's against the rules. using that system to try to make people nicer may feel hurtful to others because it's only ever been used to tell everyone how awesome they all are but if it could change things why not give it a shot?
