Title tribute to Ali G

Okay so Quantum Of Solace videogame announced by the publisher- Activision (Developed by the guys behind all the boring CoD games: Treyarch), first artworks released, no other info except some locations:

Miami, Bolivia, London, Lake Como, Venice, Austrich, Siena and Montenegro.

And that the game story will cover a bit of Casino Royale as well (maybe a 2 hour poker game?....¬_¬).

Artworks attached.

Let's see if Activison put together a better game than EA, though I enjoyed most EA backed 007 games to be honest.
I'm interested to see how Treyarch handle 3rd person gameplay (oh god, I hope the game is not 1st person!...)

This will be built using the COD4 engine.

Nah, Gears of War is on the Unreal Engine but that isn't 1st person :-p

Treyarch definitely makes average stuff, hopefully this one at least looks pretty 'cause it'll be pretty boring to play

Oh shit Treyarch, bond r doomed.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v500/EvilTaru/Indifferent2.gif

You might be right, although to be perfectly honest, I hate that engine, nothing but shortcuts, with no real freedom offered to the player, the lighting isn't quite great, the shadowing is kind of meh, COD4 had its moments in terms of SP but overall the SP campaign is such shit in terms of the actual gameplay/level design, especially in that mexican tv station level, I hated that shit.

Not that Naughty Dog would ever stoop so low as to work on a movie license game but they would do a great job with ANY of the licenses out there like Bond and Indy. Fucking Treyarch.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v500/EvilTaru/Indifferent2.gif

aren't Treyarch busy ruining CoD5? I thought they weren't big enough to handle two games at once- that or CoD5 is closer to completion than we think.

Z, Activision never stated who was developed COD5. Everyone just assumed it was Trey including some big sites but Activision just recently announced that IW may be the developer of COD5.

I didn't know that.

Infinty Ward is trying to score exclusive rights to developing the CoD series, dunno if that went through yet.

So this is just a bond game or for the new movie?

Movie games = bad

That's not fair, OG. I think it's safe to say over the past generation and a half they've moved up to at least mediocre across the board. Some being average or above. Sometimes.

the thing is, you can like a movie so much you don't mind if the game is mediocre. I like some of the anime and movie games though if it weren't for the license, they would be extremely bad. it's just fun slicing things up as Guts (forgot the title. he was in the Band of the Hawks) and the likes.

having said that, some are extremely bad that make you throw up; i.e. Hajime No Ippo's game.

Problem with nearly all movie tie-ins is that they are broken, as they are shipped when the movie hits, not when the game is finished...

Yep, look at some of the games we've got so far this gen: Transformers, SpiderMan, Iron Man and Golden Compass (a bad game and a bad movie).

Also, every James Bond game apart from Goldeneye has been pretty crappy.

1st person perspective only during the scenes where you bang Bond Girls would be nice.

Wait I thought Treyarch was making COD5 ?
Either way I will keep my eye on the title maybe they're better at making Bond games.

Activision never said they were. All that happened was Treyarch had a job posting on their site that suggested they were working on it because it referred to the COD 4 engine but we now know that the COD4 engine is being used in the new Bond game so the job posting could easily have referred to this game.

I didn't mean specifically Bond games but movie games in general because the
