She did graduate with a bachelors of Computer Science from McGill University, so she is smart (if you don't know, McGill is one of the top Universities in Canada).

And she did work on other games before Assassin's Creed. I think her being pushed into stardome is mainly because nobody ever expects a women to be a developer/producer in the video game industry, and to top it off, she is sorta cute, so EA probably thought it would be a way to atract the "hopeless shut in nerd population" to there game.

Seriously though, anybody who buys a game just because she had something to do with it would be stupid. The only real notable game she has worked on, aside from Assassin's Creed (which isn't even that good IMO) was The Sims Online (thank you Wiki).

So it isn't like she has a huge back catalogue of great games. Only one okay game, and The Sims Online.

I didn't buy Assassin's Creed because of her, but cuz I thought it'd be a sweet game, and I did enjoy it (got repetitive at the end though). 'Creed' notwithstanding, she's super cute, and I would definitely take her home to mom (1.pending she's not psycho and 2. this is of course some crazy alternate reality where I actually met this girl). Pssha.

She represents the soulless marketing, sexualization, and commercialization of selling goods and deriving attention by means of something completely unrelated to the product. Her public purpose and service to Ubisoft is to be casually attractive and demand attention through that.

Maybe if someone else from Ubisoft actually took anywhere near a meaningful role in PR as Jade does I would have much less of an argument but she probably basically does all the PR and of course she has the job for clear reasons.

That is what is anti-Shigeru Miyamoto. The character who happens to hav e a low public profile and creates fun products and shares them as fun products. The limitless creativity of a child with the management of a top executive and the love, respect, and understanding earned and given of an elder.

It's honestly like black and white or big-fake versus pure substance, I'm not sure how anyone could not spot this.

What really pisses me, and probably Miyamoto as well, is that Ubisoft's CEO promised Nintendo like quality in their upcoming games and this si the result. On top of that, they admitted that the profits generated by Wii games go to fund big budget games on HD consoles that will never see a release on Wii.

Lol, it's not like she isn't intellegent.

Like I said, she graduated from one of the best Universities in Canada, with a computer science degree.

That gives her atleast some credibility lol. Like I said before, it was probably Ubi who recognized that she could be used as the face of w/e game it is she is creating to get more publicity for it. I mean, Kojima is the face of w/e game he produces too. The only difference is, his games are good haha.

I don't think she has been on a game that I have liked, but don't undermine her actual intellegence, or say she is just a face slapped on to a game. Gamers love to hear from producers of w/e game is hot right now. And last year, that game was Assassins Creed, which was being produced by her... So that is basically how she got vaulted into the lime light.
