Ordinarily i wouldn't be excited about a multi-platform game, but Namco Banbai seem to have what it takes to make great games

Tales of Vesperia coming to PS3 too

Namco Bandai have revealed their list of planned games that should come out in Japan in 2008 unless they hit huge problems. The listing is in Japanese, but we can assure you the one we highlighted says Tales of Vesperia, and as you can see it now says PS3 as well as 360 beside the name.

The game, which is the newest and tenth main entry into the ‘Tales of’ series was announced for 360 late last year at Jump Festa, but now it seems PS3 is doing well enough to get a bit of the Tales action too.

Release dates for both versions are still unknown.

That's unexpected! I mean, the 360 is selling like hotcakes in Japan, right? :spit:

They already reneged saying that it was a typo. Sorry, Cliffy baby.

Seriously? I just can't see this as anything other than financial suicide :dur:

I can't understand why Bandai Namco is being this divisive. It's killing PS3 sales in Japan. The titles that have come out on the 360 have done piss poorly over there, and then only slightly better here in the states. It's almost like they want the PS3 to die out over there. I mean, they truly have to understand that 360 owners aren't RPG fans. Especially Japanese RPG fans. They want Fables, Mass Effects, and Fallouts, not Tales of Fucking Vesperia. Maybe another slap to the face from the consumer after this failed attempt will wake them up.

100% agree with this post.

yes this has been quickly denied, but after MGS releases and inflates the userbase in Japan, i bet we get it

Namco is yet to release a game on the 360 that becomes a hit that justifies their platform choice, unless they're directly financed by Microsoft. Ace Combat 6 would have had more chances of success on the PS3, but it's taking them long to announce a port for anyone to care.

Huh, maybe AC6 was just like RR6 in that we'll see the 7th version come exclusively to the PS3. LOL

MS must be paying them a shitload of money to make games the Japanese will like exclusive to the 360. Either that, or Namco needs a new CEO.
