The first leg of the "Game Tools & Middleware Forum 2008" was held in Tokyo today, and the above site has posted a host of slides shown during the presentations of SCEJ, and others.
They mainly deal with generating various physics effects using middleware and the uptake of high definition displays. Some interesting slides:
