AU customer in a US world

Okay so i have a problem. I'm wanting to buy something from the US PSN with my credit card but sony being the shits that they are say the billadress needs to be american. Other than getting a US friend tohelp out is there any way at all i can get around this and buy things from the US PSN from my home using my money?

Well, the way my brother has it set up for the Japanese store is that he gets one of his friends to buy a PSN card from Japan, and give him the code, while he paypal's the money to him afterwards.

The problem with this method is that US hasn't gotten the PSN cards yet (atleast I haven't seen them around here ever).

Well, setting up an account in the US is no problem, but I cannot add my CC with the fake address (only in the HK store interestingly... no other works).

I'll wait for the prepaid cards to come out and then import one...

You used to be able to use Simon Gift Cards registered to a US address but they put a stop to that it seems.

Still works on the US iTunes Music Store though.

yes, any fake address will do. hell, I even have fake email addresses for all my accounts except the main one I use. it is really that simple.

I dont think that'll work, unless Sony doesn't care about customer protection, they usually, like any other CC handler, will check if the billing address matched the CC address.

then how am I purchasing from the US store since launch using a credit card issued from somewhere in the Middle East while living in Australia? O_o

what matters to me is that I get the invoices emailed to me promptly. other than my email and CC info on PSN, every other single thing I added was fake. it works for me.

is your card Visa or Master Card? maybe you can only do that with one of those?
