Konami surprise: MGS4 to get it's own database.

It sounds like an excellent idea.
Hopefully with this and the heavily rumoured and 90% for sure coming MGS1 re-release (at least the original PS1 version), this database should widen the MGS fanbase even more.

I am very sorry if it's already been posted before (especially with my history of murdering people who re-post stuff) but really with 20 thousand MGS4 threads, my head spun trying to check if it was posted or not so I just made a new thread.

I'd love to see a " new " re remake of MGS1....
After playing MGS4 I had this little tear while hearing the beautiful musics including in the game and all those memories coming back.
it' s a really good idea to make this Database.

Just finished messing around with it for a bit, it's really cool! I wonder why they say Big Boss's real name is John though... That's just the fake name he gives Ocelot at the end of Snake Eater, while The Boss always calls him Jack (which is what I always thought his real name was)

Uh, didn't Konami actually make this? How is it Sony's fault that Konami didn't localise it for European regions?

I doubt they plan on translating it into every Spanish, French and German. However, if they do, fair enough.

Because a) It was already translated (even the jpn version has German included) and b) the other two got it and we didn't...

Usually Multi5 (or EFIGS) is all they translate anyways, so why wasn't there a release?

This just shows, how "lazy" SCEE is... they don't treat us equally, and this is what pisses me off, seriously!

SCEJ is the only real faction of Sony that actually attempts to cater to consumers.

Nobody is saying that they are gods, it is just the way the PSN store works. Sony is in total control of what goes up, and when it goes up.

Konami has it translated for more than enough languages. They probably sent it to SCEA, SCEE and SCEJ for them to release it, and it is up to them for when they see fit to release it on the store.

For whatever reason, SCEE didn't release it on there store. This could mean Konami didn't give it to SCEE to release (unlikely) or SCEE chose not to release it for some reason or another (more likely).
