He rips everything a new one (except portal).

I knew he would rip it a knew one. He does it with every game. I still enjoyed the review. There are some stuff that I agree with too, but overall it is still great so the small nuances don't bother me much. I have already said this game isn't a perfect 10, but it is the best title this gen so far, and the only other single player game that I enjoyed as much has me going all the way back to last gen.

It was pretty funny. And Im not getting MGS4 for the same reason he mentioned in the review. I havnt played any of the older ones and cbf going through them all just to enjoy this one. Im willing to give it a go, but I dont think Id really be able to get into it because I wouldnt have a clue as to whats going on.

I don't find him very opinionated or annoying, I like his reviews.
Although I disagree most of what he says about MGS 4

I usually don't like watching him review games I like, and this is no exception. I think I'm too much of an MGS fanboy to be entertained.

^You can still appreciate the humour that comes with all the badmouthing, though. Like with the Smash review. Sure he bagged the crap out of it, but most of it was true anyway, even if somewhat amplified. Being a fanboy means that youre just willing to ignore the defects of the game.

The thing is, I'm not just ignoring them, I simply don't see the defects he mentions.

I think the shooting is great, you can sneak if you want to(and indeed, you have to on the higher difficulties) and I love the cutscenes, I wish some of them were longer.

Shooting is great compared to previous MGS games, but there are a lot better 3rd person shooters out there...

I LOLd at the jabs at the dialogue, but his comments on the gameplay and shooting mechanics were pretty stupid. You don't have to fire in first person mode (totally optional), and you can also fire from the side of most cover you take in the game.

And his "gimics" in the stealth aspect? what? octocamo really isnt a gimic its very much needed on extreme. but i did lol at

I'm guessing he meant the Zoom in feature for the Solid Eye (even on extreme, I haven't used it) and the Mark II (on extreme, it is essential to use it though.)
