Official PS3 headset, bundled with socom

SOCOM Confrontation's retail release will include a Bluetooth headset, Sony reconfirmed today -- this time with pictures. While similar to the Jabra headset packaged inside Warhawk's box (and later removed), SOCOM's offering actually appears to be well-designed and, in fact, PlayStation-branded. Features include a prominent Mute button, USB charging cradle, and extended battery life. Sony has neither finalized the design nor priced a standalone model, but the SOCOM bundle is rumored to fetch $80.

PS. the bottom looks too bulky. it should've had a 'V' shape. the piece over all should be more streamlined.

and this looks very similar, if a little better and more comfortable

Nobody talks on MGO. And they don't really need to. As long as you synch up SOP, you pretty much know where your allies (and sometimes enemies) are. If you played COD4 on the PS3 (you have no need), you'd notice that a lot of people talk on that game. And on Warhawk.

I hate those bluetooth headsets because they harldy work, and there hard to set up because of the code thing, i'll stick with the Logitech headset.

you have got to be kidding me.... everytime ive heard someone on one they either cant hear ya or all you can hear is the game reverbirated back though our HS... PS EYE are the worst

hear game eccho: don't put the damn thing right in front or next to your larger than life speakers!

mic detection too low/ speakers too weak: raise the mic detection and speakers output from the PS3 itself. I speak with my normal voice as if I was talking to another person in the room. I hear everybody clearly and they hear me just as good- even though you hear some gameplay from others as background noise. the Eye is awesome. it says so in the box; "the Eye is awesome".

I typically prefer a headset to using the camera though 80usd is a bit steep even for a bundle of this nature.

Depending on the reviews of Socom I may very well pick this up though.
