From HDMI to SCART

OK, I have a bit of a problem here.

I took my PS3 other to my friend's house the other day so that we could do some online CoD4 together. He has a HDTV, so when I plugged it all in and fired it up, a message came up and told me that I should change my settings because it wasn't set to HDMI.

So I did that, everything changed, blah blah.

Now I've just hooked it back up to my TV, which is a regular SDTV with a SCART connection. Unfortunately, it hasn't given me the same message to switch back to SCART settings, and all I can see is a black screen.

What do I need to do to get my display back?!

when turning on the ps3, hold the power button till it beeps again.
this will reset the display settings

it didnt beep twice or it didnt go back to default?

check your scart connection.

Held down the button, it beeped like it usually does, then after a few seconds it beeped again, but there was no change on screen.

Checked the connection a few times already. It can't be really that anyway, I've been using it for ages.

Edit: OK, I tried doing it a few more times, and after about the sixth time, it worked. Phew!
