yep, finally, my first sony console. I play PixelJunk monsters more than I should and love the blu-ray. My only physical game is MGS4 and I am maybe 30% thru it.

I cannot wait for God Of War.

how stupid am i lol... you mention it in your first post! yeah, SSHD is an arcade game so maybe it's not your cup of tea. for Blu-ray, you MUST get Motorstorm 1, RFOM 1, Uncharted, RAC and i'd give DMC a go too... it's not breaking the mould but if it aint broken don't fix it.

as far as Blu-ray movies is concerned try Appleseed

I loved motorstorm but I am waiting for the new one, RFOM was cool, might have to borrow that from my friend (halo is still my cup of tea), I bought HAZE and put the halo controller map to it, LOVED IT.

The monsters game is rediculously fun though!

As far as Blu-Rays go Live Free or Die Hard is really great looking. Batman Begins just came out too. I also really enjoy Planet Earth and Across the Universe.

The thing with Blu-Ray is trying to find the deals. You don't have to resort to paying 25-35 at Best Buy for them. Amazon always has good deals (I got the whole Die Hard collection for $55) and there's other places that sometimes have BOGO deals going on.

It's great that Blockbuster now rents most new BD releases.
I now rent most BD releases and occassionally purchase a title.

I'd definitely recommend warhawk. it will make you want to play your ps3 online more (it's online only, btw, but still an awesome experience). It's the one game that validated the whole sixaxis thing to me. i'll never feel right flying a jet with a joystick again, being that in warhawk tilting to fly frees up the joysticks for aiming and flipping/barrel rolling.

At least rent uncharted, though I'd buy it personally (I did).

heavenly sword will help to hold you over until God of War 3 comes out. It's actually a really good game, just a bit on the short side. The production value is astonishing at some points (like the acting and audio). At least rent this one also.
