items obtain not getting transfer over to new game?

I recently bought the PS3/MGS4 bundle. Actually completed the game once(Big Boss Hard) and got the race gun at the end. Supposely items obtain/DB points should of been transfer over when you play thru a new game?

I did just that started new game on Boss Extreme mode, but i didn't get the DB points or the race gun at the start. What i am doing wrong?

Did you read the big red letters in the end. They become avalible when you reach the Mk II... You don't really need DP's untill you meet drebin anyways. And the Race gun isn't really that good.

actually i did reach the mk. 2 in the new game..he didnt give me any of the obtain weapons. The race gun doesn't matter to me , just wanted to know why my stuff isn't carrying over in the new game. I didn't delete any of the old saved files or the game data.

You don't select New Game.

You load your completed one and the game takes you to the difficulty selection screen.
