Yes it's the thing on my sig. I should probably change the title to "Beyond the Bluest Sky" for grammatical reasons.
It's pretty much a dream project that is keeping me motivated to continue reading this C++ book. The date is there is to make set a deadline so I can keep focus on when I should be done understanding c++ (I work better iwth deadlines). Every time I post here I look at it knowing I should beat myself up reading and trying to master this complicated bitch of a programming language. It's quite a scale for me since the only code im good at is html like everyone else. I probably can learn php before learning this but needed to make a choice.
Any who, the idea for the story is based off ff9, Wolf Rain, and Sword of the Stranger anime movie...
The characters on the sig was drawn by my friend Jodi and said I can use it. She does art on deviantart (http://burntumber.deviantart.com/) if you want to check it out.
There names are Alexander (grey/silver hair) & Samuel (gold hair). There born princes to the throne. The queen who was beloved by all died giving birth to Samuel. To top it off Samuel was born paraplegic so ever since birth the kingdom despised him.

Growing up Alexander and Samuel both had a different life. They occasionally get to talk to each other during studies but were being trained differently. Alexander was being raised on how to govern the kingdom, train by the sword, strategic military mindset and brought up by the side of king. Samuel was tormented by his servants, neglected at times left starving, and people hated him for being the cause of his mother death. (Doing a naruto here).. The only thing he had was a picture of his mom he kept close to him and looked forward with meetings with his brother. Some people thought he was crazy b/c he mutters to himself at night. In actuality he prays to his mom for his dad to love him.
So during a meeting with the king and his royal consul, they thought it was best that Samuel would have an unfortunate accident. No one would care about his passing and wouldn't question what happened. Alexander had mixed emotions upon overhearing this conversation. Suddenly a guard catches him overhearing the conversation through the door and Alexander by nature runs away.
---Things going in motion--- (Cutting it short) The King think that Alexander is going to blow up his plans; Alexander runs towards Samuels’s room and yells at Samuel to get on his back. They eventually escape the castle and kingdom all together. The king orders his soldiers to return them but to kill Samuel in the progress. Upon the way to give orders to other kingdoms and towns rewards for capturing them.
Now they're both on the run outside of a distance land being hunted down. On the way Alexander himself has mixed emotions on whether to give up in handing Samuel over or not, meeting new friends with there own problems, betrayal in your group, and you trying to discover a way to escape to a place known as a paradise with Samuel. (explained by Samuel within the story)
Side notes:
The ending is similar to Wolf Rain & and Sword of the Stranger where there going to look for an escape/paradise together (cough clue is the title cough). I figure it be too much of an rpg cliche if they defeated the king and live happily ever after. Though the king is a battle, he is not the ending one. You end up beating him though, proving that Samuel isn't worthless and Samuel inevitably spares his life. The ending is unexpected where it will leave you sad (possibly crying) but afterwards a tiny bit happy.
Gameplay:
Other then the rest of the characters, Alexander is a sword fighter and Samuel who is on his back is the MP. They group together like Steiner from ff9 creating different type of element attacks with his sword.
Of course there is a lot of dialogue in between everything but that is a summary of what I have written. Also Samuel weighs like a feather and rest spots at inns would be consider a time where he is off your back. There is a lot of stuff I haven’t explained so take it as it is.
I have so many unfulfilled dreams so I'm hoping to make this one comes true. I doubt it will but I can't get anywhere with that attitude.
