For my digital design class, we have to make a logo for a company.

This is a record label that is completely made up, but the musicians sponsored are suppose to attract a younger audience (teen-twenties)

We had to keep our designs simple, and they have to be readable when printed as a thumbnail.

the large T doesn't sit well with me, but otherwise, looks cool

^ I agree
The T at the end kind of offsets the straightness of the top line of the rest of the text, but I'm guessing you did it so that the T doesnt look like a really big r or a backwards 7.
Perhaps if the L was the same height as the T it would help a bit but then it might look like everything a different height.

Its not that big a deal tho, it looks cool and I like the label name

I think that was done to bring balance to the name. As was the line below LIGHT.

I like it, but why are you doing graphic design? Oh yeah, you're a vg artist not coder.

^exactly (as far as the T goes). I think it does look a little odd, but my professor suggested it.

The course is just an elective. I have always been kinda interested in photoshop, even though this was done in Illustrator. I am taking a game design course as well, so knowing this kinda stuff will probably help me out.

I'm liking the letter "i" a lot. thanks to that bulb.

Well done.
I miss messing around with Photoshop.

The color scheme makes it feel very comfortable.
Good choice.
