New War Machine for Iron Man 2

Might be the first big bit of news about the anticipated sequel to Iron Man, which is still on track for a 2010 release.

I dunno about this choice. Not that he's a bad actor, but... I dunno... I'd rather it be Howard.

Cheadle is a good actor nonetheless.

Cheadle is a great actor, but cast changes suck ass, and Howard and Downey had great on-screen chemistry.

Bah, I hate cast changes like this. Although Terrance had a small role, I thought he did pretty well. But what can you do? Cheadle is good, so it isn't like it was a highly questionable replacement.

Yeah, at least they got a great actor in his stead instead of somebody on a lower level... Personally I like Cheadle more than Howard, but I think Howard looked the part more and as you guys have said, casting changes aren't that great.

Then again, I had no problem whatsoever with Maggie taking over Rachel Dawes from Katie Holmes...

Well, at least with Maggie we could say she was taking over the weak link of the cast, which was the general consensus with Holmes in Batman Begins, so there really wasn't a major uproar. Some questions and worries, maybe, but no one was really all that upset.

I think Cheadle will do fine and hopefully the banter between Downey and Cheadle is just as good as it was between Downey and Howard. If it isn't, you're gonna hear a lot of "see? I told you so" when the new film comes out.

Personally, I didnt like Howard that much so I'm game for this as Cheadle is pretty damn badass.
