So who picked this up today? I've been playing it for a few hours and I like it a lot. One thing that bothers me though is the fact that they simply reused the music from Wild World.

Two cool things I found so far to be very awesome are the fact that you can use a Mii as a mask and you can save screenshots to your SD card!

If anyone has this, post your friend code and we can visit each other's towns.

I picked this up yesterday, but my wife begged to be the first to play it and I never got to it until almost midnight. By that point, Nook's store was closed, as was everything else, so there wasn't much to do after getting settled in. (I don't want to cheat and change the clocks.) It irritates me that she named the town "joy", which I supposed is what she was going to name herself or perhaps thought that she and I would each have our own unique towns. At the very least I wish she had used a capital "J". Oh, and she took the house with the blue roof, and I always go with blue for everything.

I still own Animal Crossing for GameCube and the wife and I both have our Animal Crossing: Wild World games for DS, but I opted to just start from scratch here in City Folk.

Wait. Talking to somebody at Gamestop today when picking up L4D he said this game no longer requires friend codes to visit towns or talk to people? Is this just BS of somebody trying to sell me something? That was my main beef...I felt so lonely in a living sim game...(I'm not getting my hopes up though)

Get the B/G single antenna Belkin one. Its pretty good and rather cheap.
Its also a breeze to set up.

So..., evidently we don't need to add each other to our Animal Crossing friend lists to still get some sort of game-to-game interaction going. Yesterday evening I went by the auction house and to my surprise there was an item up for auction: an military uniform, I think it was. The seller was listed as NESv1, whose City Folk code hasn't been registered to my friends list since he hasn't even appeared on these boards since March.

Yeah, I' pretty sure auctions are not tied to friend codes. Anyone can put stuff up to auction and people who don't have him or her added will still see it and can bid on it.

Actually, I've still been in contact with NESv1 through AIM, and we've played online a little bit. His items probably show up in your auction house through me, like a daisy-chain of friend codes. Otherwise there would be way more than just his items up there.

and if that's true, that's really cool that they put that in there.

There was a meteor shower, and here we can see the Triforce constellation. We can also see Drake sneaking up behind me with ill intent, but I made sure not to drop the soap.

Heh. This looks pretty cool... I played loads of the GC AC, but skipped the DS one. I recon there'd be enough new features in this one from the DS version to make it seem pretty fresh, but I dont think I have the time for it :\

I'll agree with that one. Bought my belkin router at walmart for around $38.00. Not a single problem. Had two linksys routers. Nothing but trouble.
