Whats the hardest game EVER?

what game do you reckon is the hardest game you have ever played?

i would have to go for

-All the Contra{s Ive played, especially the SNES ones, i serously got like five steps into the first level, no further. maybe it was just because i was playing it on an emulator and the keyboard was piss hard to use but still, dying in one hit on a game like that is mega hard....stuff.

and second would be Gradius 3+4. ive only played their ps2 remakes but they were freakin hard, i couldnt get past like the 4th world on easy.

i wish modern games had the amount of difficulty of their forefathers =(

Castlevania is beatable. You might have to spend a few weeks, but it can be done.

I've never been able to beat the original Blaster Master, even w/ Game Genie. The fourth boss always completely rapes me.

Golden Eye's Aztec Moonraker on 007 mode. I beat it finally after a million tries

blaster master is one of my favorites that i was never able to beat,
also tmnt 1 was pretty difficult to beat

also tmnt1 had the sickest, most annoying sound when you were low on power which made it harder to concentrate, especially in underwater near the electric kelp or whatever that was

I really don't think viewtiful joe is that hard. Unless you count x rated mode and stuff. X rated mode is like 'shit your pants and slit your wrists' hard. Every bad guy does double damage and the new mole bad guys that jump out of nowhere and take you down like 3 health.
