Sorry for posting it here but the sales thread is dead and you can move it there as soon as you notice (hopefully it'll be a while lol ¬_¬).

So I bought Yakuza2, my PS2 being a old twat, didn't read it.

My PS3 is not 60GB model.

I've opened the PS2 up, moved that cog in the DVD drive inch by inch because that's how you fix it and after literally around an hour of moving a cog, trying to load the game and failing, repeat etc; I said "fuck it".

So if you have a 60GB PS3 and want to get rid of your PS2 or you are just feeling generous, please let me know.

I need a PS2 (fat or slim, don't care).
And yes it is my PS2 and not the game...It can't read God Of War 2 either (i think it's to do with dual layer?).

If you lived down here, this wouldn't be a problem. My friend sells PS2's from £25.

lol that's just a cock-tease man :(

Still in the market for cheap PS2!
Found a slim one on Amazon for around £50 but I really don't want to go higher than around £25 to play one game.

*waits patiently for offers*

Unless he wants to play the entire game in black and white.

What will happen is that the games won't work at all.

??? is that what'll happen?...

Playing NTSC games on PAL consoles/tvs will do that (difference between PAL and NTSC obviously^^), but it "won't" work, as the PS2 has region coding (can be sidestepped with the cogswap method though)

What will happen is that the games won't work at all.

See above^^ (the is actually a new exploit, which allows you to play burned games without a chip or a cogswap method)...

If you use the cd-swap method to play a US NTSC game on an EU PS2, the game will only be displayed in monochrome if your TV is old, or sucks. Most modern TVs support both NTSC and PAL.

I'm sure they're too strong to be restrained.

My friend offered me his for £35.....I'll get it down to £30 and buy it off him I think.

It still feels a bit odd buying a PS2 again lol...But hey, Yakuza is probably my favourite series so a £30 sacrifice is acceptable :)
*yet, it still feels a bit odd*

Thanks for keeping this open Mods and not moving it to a dead section, feel free to lock or move now :)
