New Zelda, info, screens, release date and interview

Release Date: according to gamestop the game will be released on OCTOBER 14, 2004, but it didn't say if it was in Japan or the U.S (which means that there isn't a lot of time to fix Links distorted face): link:

EDITED: Sorry just realized that it was an old interview, but they do provide a picture, and that is in the first page of the interview.

That is really strange.... It's actually very confidently stated on their site too! I really hope this is true. However, I doubt that will end up being the US release date.

^ i know that this might sound strange, but i don't want the game to come out in October, because there are so many problems in how Link and Epona look like and i don't think they have enough time to fix it. Unless the trailer which Nintendo gave us was a very early version of the game. + Nintendo doesn't have a lot of time to market it and it won't give anyone the chance to play it and preview which will ultimately decrease the sales.

Um....it takes about 1 week for fix a few polys and textures, it's code bugs that takes months.

October sounds like Japan and probably Feb 2005 for US.....that would fill in that 'after Christmas void' we have every year real nicely.

Gamespot has the same release date listed on their site. If I'm not mistaken, they usually specify if it is a Japanese release date.

...... What are you people talking about ????? October 18, 2004 CAN'T be Zelda's release date !!!!! 1. that would mean it took less then 1 year to make the game and 2. Nintendo OFFICALLY said "we hope that in E3 2005 you will have a playable verson of the game". No way Nintendo will release the game before May 2005 (after E3).

We are just quoting the sources. It's not like we made this date up. Do we really know how long ago they started working on this? And it is using an engine that is a modified version of an existing one. I'm not saying whether I believe the release date is real or not, but it is listed on two reliable sites.

^ thats true, since it wasn't playable then nintendo would not take the risk to release the game without recieving any feedback and without giving any feedback to the fans.

Thanks. But on gamespot it says the same thing. On the home page go all the way to the bottom and see The Legend of Zelda and it says release date: 10/18/2004

^That article is a week old though. Nobody thought that Zelda would be released in 2004 a week ago. I'm guessing you are right that it will probably be out in 2005, but I'm keeping an open mind. I would be less surprised to find out it's coming out this October, than I was when I found out they scrapped Celda for a realistic Zelda.
