GTA: San Andreas gets an interesting date

zelda vs. GTA V

Yes GTA V has the exact same release date as Zelda (if that is the official release date for the U.S) if you don't believe me check it out yourself (check the right hand corner where it says release date)

Nothing is official date, but if the Zelda date is for the U.S, then it will be a very interesting week.

Id like to see the sales figures your basing that on. As far As I am aware, GTA: Vice City has sold close to 10 million copies world wide, The Wind Waker is still struggling to catch up to 5 million. The Highest selling Zelda of all Time, Ocarina of Time, sold close to 9 million copies. WW sales were actually much less then GTAIV's sales, it sucks but it is the truth.

Yes my good friend, if GTA were to come out on the same day as Zelda, Nintendo would be in big trouble. Just about every single casual and hardcore gamer in the universe already has there copy reserved(Including Moi) And everything points to another big shortage like Vice City. I remember people couldn't get copies in like forever if they didnt reserve it. But don't worry, the same thing would happen if it were released in the same Day as Halo or any big Title, GTA would win, wether or not the game its up against is better or not it is irrelevant. GTA has become the most popular video game series of all time, if not very close to it.

I heard for SA that it would be in the 10-18 to 10-23 range for release. I think Game Informer had it pegged for October 22.

I beleive those are domestic sales for the game. World wide sales GTA has close to 10 million and WW has close to 5 million.

Vipers dead on. Even though the Wind Waker came out great people were still not pleased about the graphics choice. These same people probably bought another system and gave up on Nintendo for a while. I have a feeling that the general gaming public would be willing to out and put down the money JUST to get the new Zelda. Once again its all about first party titles with Nintendo.

Thats why I never got the game. Since this new one is going to be better, I think I will pick it up.

Wrong dumb ass GTA has been building since number 1 eveyone forgets about the start of it all GTA 1 & 2 they have a VERY HARDCORE following.

I know GTA has a hardcore fan base , but Zelda has more hardcore fans then any franchies out there. There is no arguing that. Zelda is in a class of its own with gamers, GTA will be there one day but its not there yet.

Ummm..no ask any gamer off the street what their top 5 favorite games are, all mostevery single person will have a zelda game on their list. You cant say that about any other game out there. Even PC gamers love Zelda, they had to start some were

Final Fantasy has a big following sure, but it still cant touch Zelda. All most all gamers have a special place in their hart the for Legend of Zelda, no other game (besides mario) can do it

ummm this is going no where. so for me i'll stick with my argument Nintendo simply has relied on their loyal fanbase too much. Zelda (or link ;))may still do it for the nintendo guys but Mainstream boys rool the industry. As long as GTA remains good it will just continue to get a bigger following. (I've recently got back into GTA with my xbox pak)
