I have the quick charge kit. I used to have the play and charge but it stopped charging the battery properly which apparently is a common problem with it. The quick charge kit works and I have two battery packs so I always have one on the charger and one in my controller.

I have the quick charger and the play and charge and I only use the quick charger now. I have 2 batteries so like Greg one is always in. It charges it completely in just a few hours too so if you have been playing for a while and quit for the night, put it in the charger and when you wake up it's good to go.
