If you consider Shenmue an RPG, then definitely get that.

It's literally the greatest game ever produced, and it's developed by the greatest game designer ever *points to name*. If you don't own it you are a complete loser.

Ah, you are wise. Grandia II had slipped my mind.

Also, if you get Sega Smash Pack vol 1, you can play Shining Force and Phantasy Star 2...those are classic, amazing games. And there are tons of other great games on the Smash Pack.

Another RPG could be El Dorado Gate: Vol. 1. I only played it once at a friends house, and I can hardly remember anything about it except that it looked like crap but had a good battle system. Can't remember what that system was though... You'll have to import it though if you want to play it seeing at it was only released in japan.
