Kurt Angle phoned into a UK radio station called KEY103 for an interview. The following are the highlights:
Kurt came on for around 10 minutes and the announcers were really up to date, and it was a great listen.
He said he is enjoying his gm role on Smackdown and is grateful for being kept on tv whilst he is unactive and him and vince both felt that a gm role would be perfect as it would allow him to keep his character and have a big influence on the show.
He hopes to be involved in his first match since WMXX at Summerslam although it is not certain. Once healed from surgery he will be an active
wrestler again but not wrestle as much as he did the past few years, doing this will pro-long his career.
Talked about the UK fans and how passionate that they are and loves performing infront of them.
Then a few callers, who first asked does he think Brock will return, Kurt said he would be surprised if he doesnt but it mostly depends on his NFL success, if he gets a contract their then it could be a while, if not then we could see him back within a year.
Another caller asked if he thinks that Raw is getting more attention from the front office, Kurt replied Raw seems to have more established main eventers but most of them are original
Smackdown guys. Says he feels a little annoyed that they seem to lose stars to Raw but still thinks Smackdown have a better all round alented
roster and hopes that new stars can be made on Smackdown just like they have been before, such as Cena, Orton, Edge etc.
