Alright, I've got a 96 Honda Accord. It's a hand-me-down car, but that's fine, it's a nice car. Which is the problem, it's nice. Nothing sticks out about it. And that is what I want to fix.

Everything in the car is stock, it's silver, and it's a four door, which seems to pose a challenge to most people.

I'm just bored with it, so I need to do something to fix it up.

buy a kit for it, some ground effects or something

I recommend doing nothing to the exterior. Save all of your mods for under the hood. Build yourself a nice sleeper. After all, what good is looking fast if you can't back it up?

Fuzzy dice and some funny bumper stickers?

better to look fast than to get 269.00 speeding tickets.

^ But if you look fast you get more attention from the police than you would otherwise. That's why you'll see Porsches driving down the Interstate at 60 being passed by Kias.

Just saying, don't put bumper stickers on it. They don't look good at all on silver cars.

Personally I don't think that bumper stickers look good on any cars without metal bumpers. Stickers belong on guitar cases, not cars.

very true, bumper stickers on cars look tacky.

Get intake and exhaust. That's always a good place to start on car mods.

Drop in a H22 motor from a Honda Prelude. But dont stop there, add a turbo kit and slicks

Oh yeah, but first win the lotto...that helps.

Cj, tell me how much money you are willing to blow, and i'll show you what needs to be done on it.

Remeber its an accord. If you want real power you need an engine swap or some kind of forced induction (super charger, turbo, nitrous) Basic bolt on's only take you so far in a n/a car

I'd say no more than $1000, but I can't spare a lot at the minute. It's why a paintjob is out of the question.

With a grand, you are about half-way to a nice turbo, all the way to a PIMP audio system, and all the way to some decent roms, or a body kit. It all depends on what you want right now. Do you want to be fast as nuts, or look/sound sweet?

$50 will get you an APC fart cannon
