What should I do?

I already have a GC and a PS2 and am happy with both but with Halo2 and Doom3 coming out for XBox I'm thinking about buying one. But I dont know if its worht it. I don't have/get a lot of money because I don't have a job and with all the GC games coming out that I want ill have to pass on some of the ones I really wanted. And the current consoles only have a year left before all the new ones come out and the DS and PSP. Do you htink it worth it for only 1 game?

Don't do it, especially if you're looking to buy a PSP or DS. Like you said, you don't really have the money, and believe me I know what that feels like. GC has a lot of great games coming out in the next year or so, and I'm sure PS2 will have a few that I'll pick up too. You already have enough to save up for. I'm getting a great job at the end of June, and I already know what my first few checks are going towards. Save your money for what you really want. XBox has very few good games. I don't even like Halo, I don't know what's so special about it honestly. Well to conclude all this pointless rambling, I guess it's really just a matter of what kind of games you want. GC, and PS2 to some extent, have the kind of games I'm looking for. I just don't dig the box. My advice to you is don't get it.

With both GC and PS2 I don't see much of a need. You can find good substitutes for FPS on the PS2, and for horrow, you got Resident Evil 4 on GCN, so your set there, especially when you don't have piles of money. If you really really want Halo 2 or Doom 3 though, then consider it, but if those are the only two, don't bother.

The graphics will still be better on the computer then it would be on the XBOX. Overall gameplay as well.

There are way too many games on the PS2 and the GC that will satisfy you. Like neo said, if its only for those games, don't consider it because its not there is going to be a whole bunch of good games coming.

Dude just the Halo 1 & 2 and the GTA III :VC pak those 3 ultra cheap game = A+++++ those are enough to warrent an xbox purchas. Problem is Halo II is going to be the Game of this generation, you don't have an xbox your gona miss out so bad. Like majik ninja said your PC sucks so get a BOX

How much does an XBox cost? All I can find is the one that comes with Crimson Skies and PGR2 for $229, and i can't afford that :( Think I could find a used one for $150 (CDN)?

did'nt the xbox recently droped it's price ? sorry i don't know American prices but in Aust the xbox is $250 which would be like $172 US (you do live in the US right?)

Well my advice from a Very pro-xbox attitude is GET an Xbox ... but really there are some ripping cube games comming out, It's just like what i've learnt in economics, the world is fuled by never ending want's, be happy with what you got. BTW if you'r like me and need some gamming but don't have the cash, go down the emulator tree. There is unlimited gaming hours to find from roms. Ok so i got a little of track but hell that's what i think.
