and my love and praise is eternally due to final fantasy vii. after obtaining the pc version of the game, devouring it, finding JENOVA, etc, etc, i have refound my faded roots in gaming.

final fantasy vii was the game that propelled me to continue my lengths in gaming as a hobby. true, it was the original nes that got me interested in the playstation, but i wouldnt be here if it werent for ffvii...

why is it such a great game? what makes it different from past, and future final fantasies?

how much thought and skill was put into it. squaresoft went all out on this game, which was noticeable. the storylines delve deep into your mind, relating back to ideas ranging from religion to ancient japanese history.

i love final fantasy seven. and once again, i find myself replaying it over and over.

as of 6:21 PM on May 24, 2004, and for the twenty-somethingth time, rest in peace, Aeris.

Final Fantasy VII has the second best story ever (behind MGS). It has a David Lynchian-esque feel to the game in where you are thrown in and the plot is slowly developed. There is a lot of mystery and a lot of time jumping. This is a masterfully told story. One of the finest ever.
