Recently, I've been considering of getting an XBOX or PS2 to fulfill my Video Game needs. I was wondering if anyone could give me suggestions on what to buy.
I'm kid of leaning towards the XBOX, but I remembered that their controller isn't that good. But they have a PS2 converter which alows you to use a PS2 controller for the XBOX.
Also, what system has better games?
I need HELP! Please give me your input.
Thank you for your time and I hope you can help me.

um...what do you mean by XBOX or XBOX DVD system and PS2 or PS2 DVD system? They both come equiped with DVD capabilities...
Also, why in the hell would you have PS2/XBOX games as options when you, obviously, dont have either system? I guess you could just buy the games and set'em on your shelf?...
Anyway, my suggestion would be to buy a PS2. PS2 offers much more, IMO (XBox fanboys, keep your flames to yourself...this is just my opinion)

You could write it like this:
Pros -
1. ...
2. ...
Cons -
1. ...
2. ...

You could post a dumbass, pointless poll like this:
Which should I buy -
1. XBOX
2. PS2
3. XBOX DVD system
4. PS2 DVD system
5. XBOX games
6. PS2 games
oh, damn...nevermind, you already did...
Think before you post, man. PS2 and XBox both have DVD players...and wtf would you need PS2/XBox games for when you dont have the systems?

ok, in my opinion, x-box has a few good games, thats it. If you are really anxious to go online though, Xbox live may be the way to go, its shaping up to prob be the best online gaming. If you are just looking for games, go with the PS2 definitly. Xbox has a really good DVD player for $30 extra bucks, PS2s is pretty bad but doenst cost extra

PS2 - Xbox. Either one has strenghts and weaknesses.
If you are looking for the most games avialable..Then PS2
If you want to see what this new contender Xbox has to offer..Then Xbox
Tech speaking Xbox is more powerful...But PS2 has some of the best support in the indusrty.

My classmate said that the XBOX will have a Grand Theft Auto. Is that true? He also said that Halo 2 is coming out in about 2 months.

NO grand theft auto for GC or Xbox till 2004 but a game almost if not better True Crime : Streets of LA is comming for Xbox and PS2....and theres already Mafia, a GTAIII themed game.
And Halo 2 will come out Christmas 2003...but many "Haloish" games are comming up (eg. Breed) soon..
so slap these to your friends face..
If i were you, I would look at the gaming library, and see which console has the most games that appeals to me...and I would buy that console.

I think I'm going to get a PS2 because of the games. I liked the XBOX feature of internet gameplay, but the PS2 will have that so I don't have to worry.
I thank everyone for their opions. If possable, I still would like some more - specific one's.

How many controller outlets does a PS2 have? A GameCube and XBOX both have 4, but I think a PS2 has 2. But I'm not sure.

I'm pretty sure their are only 2 outlets, Jebus. As for which system, both systems are really good, so I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Try and find a Dreamcast if you can.
If not, XBOX or PS2
