Namco, Hudson Soft, Bandai, Square-Enix and Konami are all on board the DS train, and several titles from these game giants are already quite far along in their developmental stages...

First we have Hudson Soft's Bomberman. The best part of Bomberman is playing against friends, and you can be sure that this game will have plenty of multiplayer features, and, from the looks of things, some minigames as well.

Konami is working on Yu-Gi-Oh! Nightmare Troubadour. The popular trading card game and animé series will soon be on the DS, and it will allow players to have card battles against each other. You can summon magic, monsters, and magic monsters. Think Pokémon cards combined with Final Fantasy...on crack. No, we can't pronounce it, either.

Speaking of Final Fantasy, Square-Enix has Egg Monster Heroes in the works. If you can find me a cooler-looking RPG where dragons incinerate Moogles and evil witch doctors battle broccoli men in Candyland, I'd like to see it. I really would.

Mobile Suit Gundam has literally millions of sequels, and the folks at Bandai were forced to throw darts a poster to see which series to make a game out of. I guess they either chose one or combined the names of a few, because Mobile Suit Gundam Seed is on it's way, full of Gundam space battles and manga-style cutscenes.

Last but not least, we have Pacman. The hungry yellow ball and ghost buster extrodonaire seems to have found a home with Nintendo, as Namco is giving us not one, but two new Pacman games that utilize the unique features of the Nintendo DS.

First up is Pac-Pix. Use the stylus to draw Pacman, and then draw stuff for him to eat. Sounds simple enough, but we have a feeling that there's much more to it than that.

If you combined Pacman, Super Monkey Ball and Glover (bad game but good example), you'd end up with Pac N' Roll. Roll Pacman through different 3-D maze-like stages chock full of obstacles while eating the yellow dots and yummy soft pretzels. Oh, and there are ghosts, too. Gotta have ghosts.

As the support and games list for the Nintendo DS continues to grow, our anticipation builds. Don't be surprised if the DS turns out to be the number 1 gaming item this holiday season.
