EA's Need for Speed Underground 2 producer Chuck Osieja mentioned the team is developing a new Need for Speed title for the next generation consoles. In the game each vehicle will make up of 30,000 polygons, the game will have a new system which makes the scenes more like Hollywood films.
As long as they keep the direction Underground was going in, I'll be happy.
Thats a lot of polygons.
Never played the first NFSU.
Need for Speed sucks giant hairy ballz. And so does Gran Turismo.

30,000. I would have thought higher. Could't the XBOX and GC play that game then.

Actually yes it could and I was thinking that as I posted this. However, texture maps are what truly makes a polygon model look great. Remember Jurassic Parks T-Rex was only 70,000 polys but had layer upon layer of textures.

I guese now they have reached the poly limit almost. Now people just have to have better vision to see the difference.

That's sweet, I absolutly loved Underground. It was my type of racing game.

NFS:U was nothing but a rice rocket ghey wet dream. I kick myself in the balls for buying it. I'll take my racing games super realistic, thank you.
