Where do you think the industry would be like? Would Nintendo still be were it is without those most liked fanchises? Would sony ever become as famous? Would Microsoft never be as popular and fail if it didn't have Halo?

Nintendo re-created the video game industry with the Super Mario Bros. It crashed in '83 and no one thought it would ever come back and it probably would not have if Miyamoto ahd not created it and Nintendo developed the NES.

Nintendo gone...no inspriratiton for Sony to make a console....which made no logic for mircosoft or any other company as we know it to exisit in video games. :( That's sad that everyone really relied on Nintendo but in a other view...

^ No, no oen else could have re-created those titles on their own, without Miyamoto. People would have eventually came close, but never exact, maybe kinda close, and yes the world would suck without Nintendo and their greatness.

I don't think X-Box would've failed without Halo, some other game would've led as their # 1 game, and with Live on hand they would'ev made it, but they wouldn't be in second.

I was talking with my friend about how funny it was that Miyamoto won the Golden Joystick Award. What a silly name. Then my other friend who plays a fair amount of games went up to us and asked, "who is Miyamoto?"

If Mario was never made, than videogames today wouldn't exist. As for the others, they're not as important, but still important in their own right.

I'd actually say that Halo is more influencial than the GTA series, because the PS2 was still killing everything in sight before GTA 3 came around, but without Halo, X-Box would've flopped.

Halo is basically the reason why there are three main consoles today instead of two.

i liked sonic better than mario but thats because i owned a master system. mario was good but i found it too slow and sonic was happy and colourful and could do more than jump [he could roll ^_^].
but yoshis island pawned every sonic ever made, ill admit that.

I was such an idiot back in the snes days. I'd buy all the awsome games and then sell them later on so I could buy candy.

Don't feel bad Rabunis. When I was little I bought a Game Gear but I didn't have any games, so I rode my bike to Funco Land and traded in 5 SNES games for Sonic 2 for GG, one of the worst games I've ever played. The GG broke about a week later and I never got a new one. I sold Star Fox, Home Alone 1 and 2, TMNT:Turtles in Time, and I don't remember the last one, but I got fucked bad. Young people are so stupid.
