Oh I know. I have noticed a trend that one of these threads will pop up every now and again so we can lament our past... it's kind of... unsettling. It reminds me of a couple that has lost its steam and will now only talk about how good things used to be rather than trying to do something about it (though in this case, there may not be a readily apparent answer).

Coupled with the fact that for the most part, we're in our fucking 20s man. It goes so far, and it ends. People kill themselves in drunk driving accidents, they OD on heroin, they have kids. Bad Craziness is known to occur in everyone's life, with a higher prevalence the older they get. I barely have the time for this anymore, but I still enjoy it.

It isn't the Golden Age, but it's a fucking hell of a lot better than that Twitter contraption. Or Myspace. Or Facebook. I get a kick out of listening your inane bullshit.

We can lament the douche baggery, or we can try to generate personality growth. Or I can just come on here and drink beer while listening to music very, very loudly and completely ignore all of the extraneous nonsense that other people want to push around -- because, it's important to remember that above all, I'm here to fuckin' chill; and bust those violating sons of bitches.

Nostalgia makes everything seem better than it was. Shit, 90% of the things I remember thinking were the coolest thing when I was younger I think are complete shit now.

And, as you get older your priorities change. You grow up, you get busy with college, work, friends, masturbation. Shit, I live with my girlfriend now. I'm a goddamn grown up and I didn't even see it coming. I pay bills now. I worry about the economy. I worry about health insurance.

In short, I have about 100% more shit on my plate now than I did back "in the day." It's really difficult to balance my real life and my huge e-p33n.
