I plan on going for this on PC...

But I also really get bothered by the weak narrative in these games. I just don't like the narrative in BioWare games. Most of the talking scenes are just totally awkward. Almost every scene there's hardly any facial expression, and even the lines seem disconnected. I just find the narrative style very tedious, and it just takes too much time and making sure I click the proper dialogue options for me lol.

And the stories are usually so boring that I forget what's even going on, and that helps me stop playing lol. I can't remember a thing from Mass Effect... I remember robot zombies, shooting your spaceship across star systems, and the main character was Alan Shepherd and I think I made him black lol, that's it.

I hope this game doesn't play like Mass Effect either... I dunno how many times I had to reconfigure my inventory because every pick up was a gun, and one you've already seen. I really just never figured out what the deal with that was. There was like no structure there except littering the worlds with random items.

ME had one of the memorable endings in a game this decade. Probably not in the rank of kotor where you find out you are Sith Lord/Bastilla betrayal but close enough.

^Ya I liked most of the straight up cutscenes, those were almost always well done. Just a lot of the stuff inbetween was so dry lol.

I never got to the ending of course. Just didn't have enough time to spend on it.

If the presentation was more consistent throughout I'd have had an easier time getting through it.

The conversations for the sidequests were shitty. You probably got bored when you reached the citadel. That part seemed to drag on forever before you got to leave and do the good stuff in the game. They could have balanced the game a bit better in that respect but im with Jason on this one. The story was fantastic and dialogue was better than ok and i realized this when i played it a second time and made different choices. The game really did have different consequences for different choices which made the end result even more fun for me personally.

Excellent nostalgic rpg. Been playing on the PC and I truly enjoyed the title from start to finish. I most likely will have another play through after I finish the other holiday must haves.


Took me approx. 40 hours to complete on "normal" with medium exploration.

Something bugs me...

Even though this is there own world, Elves were usually consider a noble species. It's kind of weird for them to play the sub-human role. I watch to much lotr...

ohh buster barn owls this game is addictive

i was in one little village for like 4 hours just exploring and talking to everyone, being very thorough, and it wasnt annoying at all

in other games i try to map out the whole area and then talk to people, and then start doing the quests/jobs or what have you, but with this game, i feel like im doing both at the same time, and its all fun

im playing as a human noble warrior, i have around 15 hours clocked in, and it says ive only explored about 17% of the world, so i guess if i do everything possible i can in the game it will last for a while

i havent messed with custom tactics or any kind of crafting yet, i mainly just play as my main character and kill the shit out of everything in sight, but i hope i can get around to that kind of stuff at some point
