Killed Yurt immediately. He was like, "Many thanks for letting me out." And I was like, "Die, fiend!" WHAM!

Yeah, no idea why my Urbain disappeared. It happened after I invaded someone's game, so maybe the game somehow confused my world for his? It didn't matter much, since I'd never touched faith. I do hope to upgrade it some in my NG+ since my magic defense is so low...

Low HP + Magic Defense = death by invading Black Phantoms with Firestorm. I have awesome MP and Magic damage, but very little defense. I've also upgraded Endurance higher than normal for a mage, so I can roll around with Gloom Armor on. This made Boletaria easy-peasy but some of the magic-heavy enemies really hard (light beam dudes, esp.).

Wow, just had an epic invasion from some knight dude. Must have lasted 5 minutes. Got him in the end, though. Huzzah!

I certainly died a great deal, but most things didn't get near enough to me to kill me. When they did, my high endurance let me roll away/dodge, and my falchion had fast enough attacks to keep some of the tougher enemies in combos. I always had strong-enough melee attacks that I could become a fighter if cornered or out of MP (which happened quite a bit).

I don't know how I'm winning these Black Phantom instances. I think most people see the wand and assume high magic defense, but I have practically none. I've only lost 3 of them (out of maybe 15 invasions), but when I do, it's usually over quickly (one hit from firestorm). I'm really gonna have to boost magic defense if I want to survive in NG+.

So far, I'm rolling through 1:1 in NG+ no problem.

Heres a tip for you to get one of the best swords in the game. I also used a curved sword ( The schimitar ) and after defeating boss 4.2 i could upgrade my +8 Schimitar to The sword of searching which does 170 damage and makes ppl drop a shitload of loot. You might have to improve your strength a little though. Even though i was a knight i couldnt stand the bigger swords. Curved swords for the win.

Yeah, I already got that one (upgraded my scimitar +8 just like you), but Soulbrand gets 500 right hand pts (is that the same as damage?), and the Crescent Falchion +4 was doing big magic damage, too. I like the longer reach of Soulbrand for the slow Boletarian enemies. We'll see if it holds up well through NG+. I'd love to upgrade one of those Katanas...

I'm not really sure why he just disappeared from your games. I know the first guy who teaches you miracles then disappears after you get urbain. He disappeared when I just walked away without me exiting our conversation twice. I forgot to talk to him again to make peace with him. lol he called me rude but that was accidental.
