Osama hated saddam. want proof.
Philadelphia Daily News: But if bin Laden was trying to show personal solidarity with Saddam himself, he had a strange way of doing so. He denounced Saddam's secular, socialist al-Baath party as "infidels." What's more, the statement said that Iraq's rulers had "lost their credibility long ago" and that "socialists are infidels wherever they are." He didn't even mention Saddam by name. Ya, great buddies.

The UN is the scum of the world. They put on a mask of unity and world democracy but underneith the skin its nothing but another currupt super power. America remains the most uncurrupt Government in the world

Not to mention that: 1. The dictator of Libya, who was himself pursuing Nucleaur weapons, got scared shortly after the invasion of Iraq, and, after negotiations with the Bush administration, turned over all his nucleur materials and ended his programs. 2. Iran's tyrannical government is on shaky ground as a result of Iraq falling, as the younger segment of the population despises the government and their is a growing potential for a revolt.

HereticPB is like the xbox fanboy of the republicans. Keep the thread posting up
![]() I already knew Saddam used Oil For Food for his own self, that's old news. So if Bush does states this news, this possible Saddam and al Qaeda link, from his own mouth, then according to Republican philosophy, it is definitely legitimate, believable news. I'll be waiting to find out if he does. ![]()

Aero, the 'enemy of my enemy' theory is pretty accurate. Remember, we have Iraq weapons to fight Iran back in the 80's (yes, that is biting us int he ass right now).
That Phili report may not apply full either as this is a possible scenario. Quote:

No i dont get the point. What was the whole dufus thing about? And Saddam hated Osama and still does even as hes in jail. Poor Saddam probably hates Osama now more than ever. We Iraq with weapons and that has bitten us in the ass. North Korea is a bigger threat and we wont be able to deal with them or Iran or the Saudis with military force. We will have to do it by going through diplomacy. Maybee even the UN. I know you all hate the UN because they disagreed with the US and that apparently is a crime to some ppl. The UN may very well be corrupt but name me something that isnt. The US is corrupt. Believe it or not. Plus I hate to think that in order to make ourselves better we should quit the UN. We need to work to better the UN. Its the first step to have a more united planet.

Haha, okay. Easy kids. He shot, you shot back, that's okay, but let's stop here with the fighting, or I'll give you both an all-expense paid trip out the door for a few days. While you're there, outside, you can think about the proper way to talk to eachother, and how much you hate me.
I digress. It's a shaky link, and it seems almost like they're fumbling to find one now as their last resort. As cynical as that may sound, that's the way it seems to me. And you know, I can agree with the UN being a step in the direction to worldwide unity. There's sure to be conflict, and I refuse to abandon the idea that our entire species can work together. It will take time, much more time than we've allowed. In fact, I would bet that we won't see it in our lifetimes. But nobody will ever see it if we completely abandon it. The UN isn't perfect, but neither is the United States. Perhaps the way it's run, and the people in charge, needs to be changed. But my opinion on the UN is that while they shouldn't run our country, their thoughts on what we do should carry more weight. These are our colleagues, and they won't always agree with what the top dog is doing. Which is great. Conflict is an important step on the way to change. Certainly, anyone could say that Iraq has the potential to be a better place now, but I can't say without a large amount of doubt in my mind that war was justified given the circumstances behind it. It's very logical for many terrorists to be in Iraq, since that's a better place to hit our troops than Afghanistan. Also, it's a much better place to recruit, because the people have the war fresh in their minds, and are being occupied by a foreign army.

You stated a fact, did you? Okay, enjoy your two point warning. At least Aerofan was smart enough to know that my initial warning wasn't up for comment here, so there you go, now it's official. You behave now, Heretic.
And if there's not anyone else who would like to "state facts" about another's intelligence, I would like to move beyond the unpleasantness. |
