Osama Strikes Back
As many of you may know Osama decided to join the campaign trail yesterday by releasing his first video tape since around 3 years ago.
This essentially seals the deal for a Bush win. Osama, although he did it cleverly, basically bashed and taunted Bush. Now why would he release a tape 4 DAYS before an election to the American people that bashes and attacks Bush. Although he doesn't like Kerry probably either, you can see he's practically endorsing the "anyone but Bush" mentality. It's almost as if Osama and his terrorists are practically begging us not to reelect George W. Bush. Hmm..I wonder why? Maybe they've smartened up a bit. First, unlike before Osama is clearly a weakened man on the run. He did not talk as bold and grand as he once did before the War on Terror began. He seems to have realized that another 4 more years of Bush will be detrimental to his cause and himself. Thus we see, like it or not, that the terrorists are rooting for their lesser of two enemies--John Kerry. Osama even took some of the Democrats talking points when he mocked Bush for reading the book about the goat to the children on 9/11 instead of jumping up and upsetting the classroom. Well the stage is set. Bush's old archrival has reared his ugly head again. He's brought Bush's strongest area terrorism (according to all polls) back to the forefront and fresh in the minds of Americans. Thank you Osama for reminding Americans why they hate terrorism so much. Thank you Osama for bringing the main issue back in people's minds. Thank you Osama for essentially showing us again that Bush's War on Terror is working and that you now feel terrorized by the Bush Administration. Now it's time to finish the job.

I don't think the issue ever left people's heads, but I guess we should just wait two more days.

It never left people's minds but people moved on to focus on petty issues (in comparison) like health care and job security.

He said in the speech that it doesnt matter if you vote for bush or kerry.
And also that you should watch out on the 4th year memorial of 9/11

I too hope that the Osama video will be a reminder to the people of America of the ever-present threat of terrorism, and that that in turn will lead to their voting for George Bush.
In polls, Bush leads in the "who would you trust with the War on Terror" category in most every poll by double-digits (that I have seen), so this could actually help him out.

It may be a dead heat right now in the polls, but I think we are going to see Bush win in a landslide. I dont have anything to base it on other then a hunch. Just saying.

I thought it would hurt Bush more than Kerry. Bin Laden is still in business dammit. Don't you get it?
Bush made a speech about it the same day the video was released. He mentioned winning the war againts terrorists. He did not mention Bin Laden.

The whole video was complete and total fucking bullshit. Like the rest of this damn country is. I want to move to someplace where the government doesn't lie to you.

You guys try to blame Bush for everything. Just because he isn't caught yet doesn't mean Bush hasn't done his job. He's wiped out 75% of Al Qaeda. Osama's group is crippled. They don't have funds anymore. The nations like Afghanistan, Lybia, and Iraq that sheltered the terrorists and provided weapons for them are being stopped. Osama said his video was directed towards the American people. The video was released 4 days before the election to influence the election. How can a tape influence an election? Prevent anyone from voting? No. Scare people into thinking Bush is the bad guy so they vote for his opponent? Yes. Osama does not like either candidate. But he's going to go with his lesser of two enemies and that is Kerry. It's plain and simple. He is trying to attack Bush so that he cannot get reelected and continue his aggressive war on terror which includes pre-emptive strike. Pre-emptive strike is something Kerry is not for. And it's something Osama is most definately not wanting. |

This post is to Mach:
I don't know how you can back those 2nd and 3rd sentences if you don't even know where he is. I'm not saying its not true. Those last 3 sentences. No. Agressive does not mean effective. And pre-emptive strike against Iraq do you mean? I thought that helped Osama. I have another idea: Osama does not care who wins the election. He's a Jihad kind of guy. He wants to scare all Americans into accepting his version of Islam. That's his number one goal. If he pulls off another attack if Kerry wins, he will want people to believe him when he said neither candidate will help. Then he might scare Americans. Kerry also made a speech about the tape the same day it was released. He actually mentioned Bin Laden. He actually mentioned how he could have been caught. He actually made sense. Lastly, 2nd pgraph: 75% of al Qaeda is wiped out. Then what the heck is 25% of al Qaeda? Not enough to attack America again? Funds for weapons, and airplanes + scyscrapers were the weapons that noone thought of. To end my rant: It's great to know that the candidates and Americans can all agree that terrorism is bad or something like that. Sorry as my post is not so organized. Ooooooooooooookaaaaaaaay I'm done. |

When was the last terrorist attack on American soil? It was 9/11. So how can make the argument that Bush has NOT done a good job on the war on terror?

Well I can argue that Bin Laden is a very patient thing and wants to make the most out of its opportunities to attack. Common sense if you were a terrorist.

The embassy bombings - Al Qaida was organized.
The Cole bombing - Al Qaida was organized. 9/11 - Al Qaida was organized. Al Qaida is no longer organized. See, so long as we fight them over there, they can't attack us over here as easily. Bush - pre-emptive attacks to keep america safe. Kerry - Will wait for next attack and then might do something....maybe. |

Exactly. Think about it. They were organized and it took them years. Now that they look like roaches when you turn the lights on, they may never get another major attack in.
