The Internet is Boring

It's true.

Everyday, I do the same, boring thing:

A) Check the threads on NNow. Nothing new. Ever. There's no cool news about the new systems, and there's no cool news about Zelda or any games. The forums are in good order, and there's nothing to do admin-wise. I suck at making cool and interesting threads, so I don't even spend my time doing that.

B) Check a message board for Ohio HS sports. Now that we were runner up for state in basketball, there's nothing to post about. Football and basketball are done with, and baseball's coming up but there's nothing too interesting with that. All the people on there are 60 year old morons who care way too much about HS sports for their own good anyways.

C) Check for a new Penny Arcade comic. They suck lately anyways. I can't remember the last one. Not to mention they talk shit about Blizzard and Bungie all the time, for making their great games not great enough. That's annoying as fuck.

D) Check the new pictures on College Humor. It's pretty much the same thing every day, and only a few of them are amusing anymore. Seeing endless amounts of semi-goodlooking girls with Frat symbols on their breasts was mildly amusing.. maybe when I was 8. The movies are funny usually, but Firefox won't play them for some reason, and I'm too lazy to open up IE now that the IEview plugin is broke with Firefox 1.0.

E) Talk to people on AIM. This is boring as fuck usually, since there's only a few people I can get a decent conversation out of. With everyone else, it's like pulling teeth. Annoying people IM me to say "hi" every once in awhile, but the only time I find any real use out of AIM anymore is on Friday or Saturday nights to catch up on plans for the rest of the night.

F) Look at people's profiles/away messages. Pretty much everyone I know has the compulsive away message checking syndrome, and I'm not excluded. I don't know what I find so intriguing, because usually the away messages are a letdown anyways. Very rarely someone will have a link to somethign funny, which is cool. I like looking at people's pictures from parties that I've been to, but that can only be amusing for so long.

G) Play WarCraft III. Now this would be really fun if the game wasn't filled with 13 year old jackasses that think it's funny to talk shit the entire game. Just play the damn game and get the hell off your keyboard. I may be a "fucking noob" but at least I know what sunlight is. It's a great game, but it just takes too long to get any good at, and losing gets old after awhile.

For awhile, these things amused me. Now they're just getting old. I've been playing more GameCube and excercising on my treadmill and weight bench more though. However, I've also been sleeping excessively and watching a large amount of movies as well.

Luckily I'm headed down to Panama City, Florida for some hardcore Spring Break action next week, and hopefully that will help me out a bit.

Damn kev, I feel the same way, I am kinda bored visiting my parents house so I tried to spend more time online, didn't quite work. I visit this site and somthingawful.com's forums about 10 times a day, trying to add anything to every thread that intersts me. I can't even find music videos to download anymore. I gave up on aim a couple years ago, sorry to those of you who have tried to do the aim conversation with me.

Maybe when I get to texas and visit once or twice a day it will be a little better.

Yeah, the internet is pretty damn boring. I am only on for like 10 minutes at a time. I usualy come here and see that there is nothing of interest, then sign off. That's what my whole web surfing experience consists of. Comming here and realizing there are no good posts or threads. Every once in awhile I'll find something that interests me. That's like 1 thread every few days.

I'd say in general things are becomming much less fun. The only thing that really holds my interest nowadays is music. I really need to get a job too. I really dont need money, I just need somthing productive to keep me occupied. Even sitting around with my friends doing nothing, which used to be one of my favorite things to do, isn't that fun anymore. Shit, for the first time in my life I actualy look foward to going to school. Man, things sure are changing.

I usually come here to NintendoNow, check my stats on Fantasy Basketball, Check my Email, Sign on AIM, Go to D12world for any new music and news, and than browse other Nintendo sites for news.

I have that same away-message checking snydrome thingy. I thought it was only me at first, glad to know there's other out there that can't seem to stand still until they've checked everyones damn away message. I agree, most of them are letdowns, but sometimes their will be a little shoutout to me or something along those lines and that makes up for the searching

I usually play Battle of Wolfenstien: Enemy Territory or Command and Conquer Generals online.
