Okay, it really isn't about nothing. It's an account of my time here at NNow/(currently E-mpire). Don't ask me why I wanted to post this, and if you don't want a history lesson on me then don't read this pointless crap.



So, I'm going to be honest here. I have been posting here since late 2002. I hated the forums here at first- despised them actually. I was a member of what I thought to be one of the greatest forums ever (and truth be told, it was) that got shut down, GameCubeXL. NNow was what GCXL was supposed to merge with, but that fell apart and GCXL died. So I began posting here as a rebel, but nobody really noticed me except for mysterio and Dwhitten1028 (I'm just guessing about the numbers because I have no idea why anyone would have random numbers in their username).

Anyways, I started out as a Super Mod, pretending to be better than everyone, and being awesome. I honestly think that I am the first person that realized Carlos was a douche bag. Unfortunately, alot of posts/PMs were deleted in a hacking, so I can't recount my PMs to Brian or Nathan about getting Nintendo X to stop being a moderator. He opened and closed threads on a whim, and for no particular reason, being the "Carona-drinking, lady-loving" man that he is. (But let's be honest, he is probably whacking off with Jill:

After that (~700 posts) I quit being a Super Mod on my own will. I stopped wanting to waste time on the internet, so I left for somewhere between 6 months - 1 year.

Randomly, out of boredom, I decided to retake a visit, hoping nobody would remember me. There was a thread about Josh (for those of you who remember Majora/Josh - I don't really), and I posted in it. mysterio responded, recognizing me, which is honestly the only reason why I'm still here. Since then, I posted a ton (and I mean perhaps as much as Viper), but I thought I had Brian (the owner at the time and a great man) figured out.

I thought Brian had no integrity, so I started badmouthing him. He was talking about a complete remake of the main site, entitled "N2." I was anticipating alot, which was ridiculous because the only site I read at the time was IGN because it had 100% true news... meaning I didn't give a shit about NintendoNow except for the forums. Everytime he made an announcement about N2 being launched, I degraded it, saying that it would be delayed. I told Viper and Mach to stop hyping it up because everyone would be disappointed. I was right, but what I was too dumb to realize is that Brian has a life, he is a real person, not a robot working for the fans of NNow.

I was banned but eventually let back in many times by various people, namely mysterio. One of my friends from GCXL (Galcian, Anti-Colin, etc.) made a thread about leaving this forum because the N2 bullshit was getting ludicrous. When I read it, I felt inspired. I knew that I spent too much time on the internet so I decided to follow suit, and make a long-ass post about why this place was messed up at the time. I am a good-ass writer when I need to be, and my post persuaded other people to follow suit (many of the vets left the forum at the time... I was hoping they would leave forever to prove my point which was stupid- even if I thought Brian was a bad person.. which he obviously isn't, all I wanted was for people to be in my footsteps- for me to be the leader just once). Mach predicted correctly that we'd all be back (at the time I complained because he made such a bold prediction). After tons of vets announced their intentions to leave the forum forever, we held a chat room on AIM. We talked about hating the forum, etc., but deep down inside I'd knew everyone would be back, but not me. I was leaving the forum "forever." After that I was banned (I'm not positive but I think I asked Mach to ban me so I absolutely COULDN'T return even if I wanted to)

Months later, I had been hanging out on the internet alot less, and I was happy with that and I had completely forgotten about NintendoNow (which hadn't become E-mpire yet). One day, I got drunk and made a new name (called t3h h0tt, which had been my User Title before I quit) and made a few posts. The next day, I vaguely remembered doing that so I checked back, and felt addicted again. However, I made myself stay away from the forums for awhile until a friend of mine (once again Galcian/Anti-Colin) was playing Project Gotham Racing 2 with me and we started talking shit about Carlos and NintendoNow. I felt cool, because I was defying nerdism and dumbshits like Carlos.

Eventually, I asked Mach to unban me because I wanted to post again, hopefully just for a bit. Shocker, I got addicted as hell and started posting like crazy again. Mach asked me if I wanted to be mod, and I didn't think I could handle the responsibility, because I get bored with forums quickly so I denied the proposition. Later, when the Administration was loooking for a new Super Mod, Dwhitten threw out my name and Mach asked me if I still wanted to be a mod, which I agreed to because I'm a sucker that's obsessed with power.

Slightly before this time, Omega purchased the site, which I was happy with. I like Brian, but he just doesn't have enough time to run the website, and Omega was willing to donate alot of time to it. For some odd reason, Mach asked me if I wanted to be an admin (I had been admin on many sites before- The-animal-crossing.com, PDZero.com, GameCubeXL.com, NintendoNet.com) because of my vBulletin abilities.

As an admin, I haven't done that much. I helped make a theme with Omega that included the left navigation of the main site which made the forum look like it was embedded into the main page. I lied out new signature rules. I restarted reputation to make it more realistic. I moved threads. I am not really a nerd (I don't mean to sound like a douche bag.. I like computers and video games, but I like other less-nerdy things more). Maybe I don't deserve to be admin... maybe I just manipulate the hell out of people to be in a position of power? But now I want to start doing something.

However, I really do like this place.

It's a place where I can get early information and answers on every topic.

It's a place where I can talk about Video Games to people who know a lot more than me.

It's a place where I can talk to e-friends when I can't hang out with my real friends.

It's a place where I can post this stupid-ass message and people will resond, perhaps for no reason at all.

Read the whole thing... I also have alot of the same feelings about this place and some people. It's really cool here and I do think this is the best forum on the internet. Cool to see how some of the vets got here from when they started. Sounds like your will to leave was just overcome with love for the site, and community.

I always felt like you were the guy who is just immortally here, and always will be. I have been here hardly a year and you are one of the people who symbolize the E-mpire community. I hope you can stick around for a long time as i think you are a great member and seems like a pretty cool guy.
