The Super Mario Brothers Super Show!

For those not initiated, it’s an amazing hybrid of live action and cartoons featuring the Super Mario Brothers, including Captain Lou Albano as Mario. Seriously, you must get this. It’s 4 DVDs of 24 eps and has special content, including an interview with said Captain.

Anyone else have fond memories of the show? I remember the little dance they did together at the end, and they'd make up lyrics to the Mario song. Good times.

That show was quite hilarious. Wish it would release in Europe though, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

hey, I actually was chatting with someone else on another board that said there was a similar release in London. Don't think it's the same set that this was with all the awesome interviews, but still should be awesome.

also, it only improves with age, a little bit o' corn never hurt anyone, and it just makes it that much more hilarious.

A friend of mine works for a DVD reviewing site and got an early release of this to review. Very nostalgiac. I used to get up at like 5 in the morning so I could see the Super Mario Super Show followed by the Mario animated series.

Oh, and...moved to the right forum.

awesome, and the Koopzilla is definetly in the DVD set, so you can get better quality. can you just imagine this show on a big screen HD? oh man, amazing!!!!!

I remember watching this when I was a lot younger. About the only thing I really remember was the guy dressed as Mario dancing around badly at the beginning and singing every bit as badly.



I believe some time after this show came a pure cartoon based on Super Mario Bros. 3, and that was my favorite. It had the doom ships, Koopalings, and all.

Yeah, a few years back when I got DSL, yahooligans tv had it available to watch on the web totally free. They used to have Legend of Zelda too!
